Is there an active auction house or something similar ?

Is the gear mostly BOP or BOE ? Can you move gear easily from your different characters ?

Where does BIS gear come from , dungeons, crafting , open world drops etc ?

Thanks in advance for your answers . Happy Holidays !

Currently there is not an auction house.  Players trade using the market forum and world chat channel.  I don't mind the current system as traders develop a reputation within the community and there is customer loyalty.  When I craft a nooby weapon for someone, they call on my services again when they are ready for an upgrade.  When I hunt animals for skins I save them up and supply bulk leather to the same guy each day.  That type of trading relationship is something mising from most games these days.  Dev's have mentioned they are working on an AH/personal store solution.

All of the crafted gear is BoE.  Dungeon gear is a mix of BoP and BoE (also a random element of number of sockets/bonus stats).  There are also world dropped BoE heroics/rares that you could sell.

BiS weapons for most levels are crafted but require tradeable componets dropped by dungeon bosses.  Armor BiS is 4 parts from dungeon (chest, leg, glove, boots) with the 5th crafted (helmet).  Set bonus only activates with 5/5 equipped, so crafters are always in demand.

If I'm not mistaken, it's one character per account, so no moving items. The majority of your crafting and stuff has to be sold to NPCs for a loss. Even if you gather all of the materials yourself, vendor-required recipe ingredients ensure that you only get about 10-20% of what you put in to craft the item (even gathering every possible resource you could) back. So you lose 80-90% of your in-game cash each time you craft something to level your crafting.

Luckily the devs have a solution: buy in-game cash direct from the devs.

You soon see that every activity in game causes you to lose money, so it's impossible to play unless you buy cash, or become an in-game servant to someone who DID buy cash. Even then, you just lose less.
