Best Magic System from a novel/other media that could Work in an MMO?

So I'm definitely thinking Allomancy from Sanderson's Mistbborn series. It could create factions, etc.  Also using the metals like reagents that need to be farmed would be cool. 

Possibly Rothfuss' magic system too, but not as convincing as Sanderson's. 

Thoughts?

    I saw the thread title and immediately thought of Allomancy from Mistborn. Came in to post it and saw that I didnt need to lol.

    The Wheel of Time's magic system is tailor made for factions.  Wouldn't be too hard to translate to a game either.
