Too many sycophants causing brad delusions that this niche product is a much larger niche than reality.  Fewer than 2k suckers flushing their money down the tubes pretty much sums it up. Forced downtime, forced grouping, and forced interdependence is the mythology of the past. The only reason people endured it before was because there was no other option.

Donate for what? They really need someone to articulate their vision. It is only a vision at this point right? If it is that's fine, but where is it going? All I've heard is that it will be challenging, they will be dungeons, and forced downtime. Ok, sounds good but what else?

I'm gonna go to their Ks page bbl.

/pause Q&A 2 -You do not have to do the quests! It's not a quest centric gamE! /play bbl

/pause Q&A 2- Locale auction houses - Sounds good, need more details on how this would be achieved  /play

Well, that's it. Not having to do quest is enough to get me to click on development links, but not enough to do much more. It doesn't seem like the game or the concepts are very well developed. I could be wrong, but I sure wouldn't know by the info that is out there.

At the moment it feels like me or anyone of you could give that interview. Heck I believe my "ideas" could sell it better. Now I'm not saying that that's all there is, but man Brad if you are asking for me to tell a friend, you have to show and tell more than you are.

I question how much of a MMORPG you can really build even for 5.1 million, when the major houses are spending 100M+ reportedly, and I'm none too happy with any of them.

But hey, if any of these kickstarters pan out to a couple of new MMORPG's with some fresh ideas I'm all for it, even if a hundred crash and burn along the wayside.

Convo said things well, but to expand a bit on it,

Many MMOs do a lot of extra work with creating engines, adding assets and systems that aren't necessarily necessary (say that 5 times fast). We're going to be kicking it oldschool, which seems to fit the theme of the game, and working with a small team, using an engine that is incredibly robust that eliminates a lot of unnecessary design and development time.

And who said 5.1M was our final goal? ;)

and who exactly are you and Convo? If youre unwilling to give your name at least your connection or position with the game.

Well, Ben's name is in his signature block. As well as his position and company. And Ben is a legit guy. He's on my linkedin (though I'm not sure why I have an account, lol) and I have "worked" with Ben as well as Bill Murphy) back during the Age of Conan ramp up days over at Ten Ton Hammer. I was briefly the Ranger Class Lead on AoC for TTH until RL threw me a curve and I could not devote the time.

Convo, I don't know. But Ben (Machail) I have interacted with a bit.

Brad, you might want to take "Sigil Games CEO" out of your profile here if you plan to post much, heh.
