Innovation is when both the devs and the players work together on common goals. Then brainstorming how to get it done, and keeping that tunnel vision in check.
I don't "work together" with devs. I buy their products if it is fun to me.
Innovation is what devs do, let's not get players into it.
You're what gamers would call a bottom feeder though, Nari. Hopping from one game to the next chasing the new car smell. lol

It is quite fun, and i don't apologize for my preference. At least i am having fun .. which is what entertainment products are for. Don't tell me you want to live in a game.

The fact that you come to these boards day in and day out with the same ridiculous theme to all your posts and threads in attempt to convince everyone of just how much "fun" you are having has left most with serious doubts. The irony is that I suspect the one you are having the most trouble convincing of how much "fun" you are having is actually yourself.

tsk tsk tsk .. aren't we emotional here ...
if you think posting in forums is about convincing others, you obviously don't know much about the internet.

Emotional? Nahh, not at all. But if you want to call me presumptuous, I suppose that's fitting.

From my experience, posting online about games does influence things, especially in pointing out problems to be fixed.
People tend to love drama, and no better game drama is a problem that isn't being fixed! Biggest threads with most traffic are those.
Ever wonder why some publishers are quick to ban people on their forums, while others don't seem to care? Those overly sensitive have something to hide or too protective and risk tunnel vision; while those more indifferent don't or appreciate how the game is viewed from the trenches. The latter are games I like to play, as someone is listening and willing to do something about the game instead of passing the buck.

Getting players to "work together on common goals" is akin to herding cats.
You've got one set that embraces any new idea just for the sake of it being new, regardless of how well thought out it is or isn't, and another set that rejects any new idea for the same reason. Some follow Heroes and support whatever they say, some stalk Villains and denounce whatever they say. Some who have no opinions of their own and jump to the beat of whatever the loudest faction is, others who are chronic Devils Advocates who jump to oppose the loudest voices.
Listen too closely to the players as a whole, and you'll be paralyzed by their schizophrenia pulling at you in every direction. Sometimes, you have to tunnel the vision just to get something actually onto the table, and live with the risk of it falling flat.
Or just rebuild the same wheel every time, and try to sell fancy rims in the cash-shop.

I suppose that is not unfair to expect on actual game forums, discussions may have some influence.
But here?
And convincing devs there is a problem is a far cry from charging me with the intention of convincing random internet people of anything.
