that games are financial successful , today on mmo market dominate asocial/solo players. They play every new mmo's as SP games 1-3 months than move on another new mmo.
Yeh ... I pretty much do that, and mixing playing MMOs and SP games. There is little point to distinguish between them when i am having fun.
Yes we have read all of your 16379 post how you like to play your games and how fun you have, yes we got it.
I feel like the buzz term "themepark MMO" gets thrown around a bit strangely these days.
In my mind the term means the game contains all your traditional genre content. Raids, dungeons, quests, crafting, classes, a storyline etc etc..
Well, what MMO doesn't contain these things?
There have been a few attempts at creating this mythical sandbox MMO but frankly it's an impossible concept.
You can't provide players with a world and mobs/bosses and say "off you go, enjoy" anymore; people want an actual game for their money and not one where they have to invent the fun. (aka the early days of MMOs)

Yes, at least i am being positive, instead of repeatedly ranting about how bad the genre is. This place needs more sunshine.
Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
