Anyone else from the South "enjoying" the ice storm of 2014?
It isn't the 1973 Blizzard, but it's definitely unusual. Outside my window it sounds like breaking crystal falling in streams. Going to be like this until noon tomorrow. Locally the weather predictors issued a warning of 1" of ice forming on trees and roadways, something I haven't heard of for decades.
Luckily not living in Atlanta. No bare store shelves. No hysteria. It's dead quiet except for the crinkle of ice failing.

Haha!! Whole East Coast is gonna be like Les Miserables tomorrow only with snow.
"Look Down!! Look Down!!"
Worst time ever to pinch a nerve in the neck, but did manage to get to a window and watched branches fall from trees. When canopy tops snapped into two, it sounded exactly like pistols going off.
Still a tiny bit of ice around in patches today, but they'll be long gone, soon. Monday it'll be 63F, again.

Now add an 4.4 earthquake...

I thought a local plant gas main exploded, as our house shook with a rolling rumble. Edgefield is just over the river, and felt that strongly in GA.
