Heya Fellow Gamers,
For anyone who is a sandbox purest check out this game on kickstarter:
I am no way an affiliate or anything for the game, but games like Wurm Online, and Terrayn, and others are what I would consider the purest form of sandbox gaming.
Put me in a world with basic tools and let me carve my own path 
Terrayn looks to be one of those games, and looks to be very promising.
