Question on Beta Account key for pre-order folks

Does anyone know if you have to create a separate account to use your beta key on or can you redeem your beta key on your pre-existing account if you have already pre-ordered?

So the question is directed to people that have already pre-ordered.  Where or how did you redeem your beta key?

    I ordered digital direct, so it automatically applied, but I believe you can redeem a code on your account, so you don't have to create separate accounts.

    Just got to your Account settings and press the redeemed code link and enter you code.

    Yes. Just add it to the account you ordered the game with. All that happens is two buttons pop up to download a pc or mac beta client, and your account gets flagged as having registered the beta on it.

    Also, if you want to claim the free monkey pet it has to be redeemed on the account you bought the game.

    Thanks, call me paranoid but I didn't want to redeem a beta code on my ESO account that I also pre-ordered on and someone bork my pre-order code that's already there (over write it somehow).

    Lol. Don't blame you considering all the screw-ups with accounts in other MMOs... but yeah, one account.
