You hate beeing cat but you going to play one cause of small advantage that you wont even notice anyway. Smart .. I dont want to be rude but It would be awesome if they really nerfed it and you would be stucked with race and char you hate just cause you wanted the racials
Will you be there to comfort me? Promise Ill be a good cat, purr purr.

I am fan of both, but i did decide not to play granok so changed the avatar + I dont see Wildstar releasing any time soon and I had real fun in ESO, still not sure if the endgame is enought tho. We will see. And the avatar I do have now is just untill I find some neutral more fitting one which I can keep for long time.
So long as the game isn't balanced around end game Khajiit, my wood elf won't give a rats ass that a Khajiit killed a boss 32 seconds faster.
Ignorance is temporarily beautiful, isn't it?
No, you just don't the parents point. He/She doesn't CARE about a stat difference. A LOT of players would rather take hours longer to kill a boss rather then play a character or class they don't like. Mix-maxers are bane to MMO's especially because they usually are not just satisfied using a top class but want everything to suit to their play style.
You want to min-max, you go right ahead but don't try to claim that everyone will be playing khajiit, because they won't.
And frankly I think games with everything balanced out are fucking boring. I would be willing to pay a premium for a game that just got rid of PvP altogether and just make a PvE game where you picked your race and class and just had to deal with it that some are easier then others, some are more useful then others so you could just play the game for fun and be rid of the min-maxers forever.
Except when they put enrage timers and pigeon hole players to builds. But generally I doubt if there was an enrage timer that only one race was playable for certain roles but still enrage timers means gear and other factors such as the best build are more important than skill to beat enrage timers, or farm more and make sure others are farmed enough to compensate for freedom of choice. Enrage timers are bad since they put a huge emphasis on grinding dailies or whatever other prerequisite. It's not so much a problem in a good guild, but an average one not doing the gear grind and not organizing as much as they should won't have a chance to show their skill and get steam rolled by enrage timers.
also from a dev perspective enrage timers would make them consider on how to make different specs, not hybrids, but other specs they offer as a play style as viable to handle enrage timers. My experience was the spec I considered appropriate for my class was not viable as other specs and I even had good gear. So it places faith on devs delivering on content being balanced as well to a reasonable degree to allow others to enjoy that freedom of choice. I got punished for it, but that was a small part of my group problem since it was a dev fail IMO.
Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble
The +15% crit damage applies to both melee and ranged and will make Khajiit undoubtably the most favored Melee and Ranged-class (non-caster) in the game. If you want to be in the top corner of being the most viable damage dealer, then you will not come around choosing a Khajiit.
If Carnage stays only on Khajiits, then we will see them running around everywhere. I personally do not mind, since I like Khajiits. But is this really the goal which will automatically add up to that each competitive player will pick this race, when playing melee and/or with a bow?
Everyone saying that race bonuses are marginal were not yet participating in the endgame. Having a few thousands of health and getting added 12% hp from the imperial ontop will find this number very appealing. Same goes for all the other bonuses that really have impact. Khajiit being one of them.
Is it really unimportant what race to pick? No, definitelly not. Sure you can pick an Argonian Nightblade but will be outplayed by a Khajiit by a large number. Same goes for a Bosmer, and that is the sad thing - Bosmer actually being a Bow focused race will also be outplayed by the Khajiit's racials.
How to fix this? Balance racial bonuses across the board. To make on single example out of many: This would then mean to give Khajiit's Carnage to one or two more races aswell.
At the end of the day, you are obsessing over minor points. Racials are nice to start, but soft caps and gear bonuses will even things out. Aside from that, you are looking purely at numbers. As with any discussion with this topic for the last 14 years, gear and stats are only part of the equation. A well played character's skill will always trump someone's perceived numerical advantage.

I wish I had known this, then I TOTALLY would not have played a Breton, I am such a fool... Thanks for letting me know I was doing it wrong this entire time...
That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!
It certainly is. Lovely how you keep either forgetting or ignoring the presence of soft caps which will likely make all racial bonuses irrelevant by the time you reach 50, for people who plan well.
And even if there weren't soft caps, most people don't min/max.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
Again, I'm sure they don't care. While you revel in your kill because you feel that you have created the ultimate build and that they have been shamed and that you have taken "their soul" that day, they will probably re-spawn and not think any more about it. It's all part of the tapestry of the game and they will be killed and killed and still won't care.
Given your answer you probably will never get it though.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I Can't ever play a furry and will never pick a race based on racials. Those that pick races based on racials are usually the players asking for a paid race change 1/2 through their game experience. I'll spend 95% of my time in Cyrodill and if I am going to worry about a few percentage differences between once race and another I probably shoulnd't be trying to do PvP.
Shit man, Seattle shouldn't have shown up against Denver. Denver had Manning and all those percentages.
Shit man, Mavericks should have never stepped on the court with Miami and Lebron. Lebron, Wade, Bosh has way more percentages.
That's what I'm talking about bro. If you can't win a fight w/o having slightly better or at minimum equal stats then your PvP needs to be revaluated. If this game is all about stats then we aren't really PvPng. It's not though. Kesil's 32 Bosmer Arch vids shows him coming inches from getting down by at level 15 mage.
Lets just look at Dragon Knights, Dunmer are as good if not better for damage and Nord/Orc/Imperial (maybe others) are better for tanking. PvP is not just a two player duel, if you have better tanks they stay up and you can win through. The OP is taking genuine data, but is applying it too simplistically.
Just one example of this, Bretons have great magic resistance, how do you factor that in? If there are lots of enemy Sorcerers it becomes very important, if very few far less so. If you just look at stats and do not think about what can happen in game the issues will seem simplistic. Once you think about how it will work out on the ground, you see the complexity.
You can get crit damage from gear as well and stats tend to have a cap before going into over something i forget what its called but you get diminished returns after a certain point which i doubt varies by race

It's called overcharge and it makes the OPs drama post moot. As you and others mentioned, you can trait your gear as well to make up some of the difference.

Best min/max build = first nerf... enjoy it while it lasts, Bright Wizards.

Very true. I would honestly consider 15% crit damage less useful than a constant 12% from imperials myself, but I prefer more defensive minded playstyles. His extra 75 damage on a crit that doesn't happen every hit vs a constant couple of hundred HP? I'll take the HP any day of the week, and win too.
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV Have played: You name it If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

Yeah for PvP Imperials definitely have the best racials for melee. Not likely to be nerfed much either since they are making people pay for them.

That would be the trait impenetrable. You can also raise your crit with the weapon trait precise.
