The game which was canceled (I'm currently playing that game np) because of dev team have no power over idiotic suits at UBI when carebear wow comes to the market yes that one. Good thing is more games crowd funded is going to market since we all know what happen with games driven by clowns in suits no need to blame game itself for its closure.

Also carebear ≠ bear and especially for little pink bunnies

    enjoy your +2str stat differences

I could be wrong, but from my understanding, there are soft caps in the game that come into play at a surprisingly early stage of character development.  After the cap is reached, there are diminishing returns on all stats.  I am not sure how this will ultimately effect the min/maxes of this game, but I do hope that this allows for more flexibility and freedom to create many viable and interesting combinations.

Yes, we do know what happens with games driven by clowns in suits.  They get AAA budgets which allow for them to have high levels of polish and actually look like products produced in the years when they released, rather than being "indie" and looking like something a bunch of talented children with Commodore 64s cobbled together in their spare time.

I like both of them. One was shooting for realistic cat, while the other is shooting for sex appeal cat. Neither is right or wrong. But she does kind of look like a 10 year old in the first one hehe :)

Ugh, speak for yourself. I play Bretons or Redguard. I don't play cat-people....

I could care less what their advantages are. They do not appeal to me and the last thing I care about is min-maxing.

Lol, I see the scourge of Tabletop RPGs is a problem in MMORPGs too.  Min-Maxing....

Kitty's not on the top list of my races to play, so no, I won't be playing one either (not at launch anyway).

Min-maxers will always try to exploit everything they can, whether it's playing a gnome or other midget race to get a smaller "hitbox" or playing a race that only interests them for the bonuses... /shrug

    Each to their own.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

I guess there will be good alternatives to the Khajiit race, not everything is only about damage in pvp but also survival.

Take for example the Nightblade, this will be the class who will have big issues in bigger group fights.

Then I guess my Imperial will have to do some in-game animal control! ;-)

I have two issues with this post!!!

The only time I knowingly or unknowingly played a female toon was in one of the eastern games where the genders are so neutral I really couldn't tell...

Also, who the hell cares about boobs, thats not where the erogenous zone - which is in the, ahem, nipple... Now if I only had eight hands!!!

The same racial gives you 3% crit as well.  You get 27% crit just by being a Khajit and wearing all leather.  That's without any additional crit from gear.  Currently there is no critical mitigation, so that already puts Khajit at roughly 4% more damage right at the start, which will only increase (up to 15%) as they get closer to 100% crit.

    Impenetrable.

And why you found the openworld game with unique races which in fact matters not +2str bullcrap but actual racial traits based on race like centaur running fast, natural fliers or half-giants or minotaurs, player cities and sieges like something bad? This game comes from golden age of mmos when devs tryed to deliver virtual worlds (uo,ac,daoc, swg) not small instanced lobby bullcraps which in fact are dictated by your praised suits because its much easier and wait for it... cheaper to use some devkit for childrens like heroengine and create smallinstanced lobby bullcrap. MMO's nowadays taking step backwards for a long loooong time try to deny that..

I can rarely bring myself to play sub-human beast races, especially lazy drug addict beast races like the Khajiit.  Though I won't be bothering with the sub-human brutish orcs either, I probably will make one Argonian as one of my alts, the lizards are at least fun to look at.

There is a difference between something being cool in concept, and something being cool in reality.  To make something cool in reality, you need a substantial budget.  On paper, Shadowbane should have been one of the greatest games ever made.  In reality it was a laggy, buggy, unfinished crashfest of a mess that makes vanilla SWG look complete and polished.

Well server code is being rewritten from scratch but calling this greatest game is too much and it depends on angle of view but to stay on topic the races in shadowbane is just so so juicy to not mention them in races discussion:) someone might find greatest game of all time something like hello kitty wow and teso while someone uo daoc and shadowbane  these games fall into completely different genre.

Just one example of this, Bretons have great magic resistance, how do you factor that in? If there are lots of enemy Sorcerers it becomes very important, if very few far less so. If you just look at stats and do not think about what can happen in game the issues will seem simplistic. Once you think about how it will work out on the ground, you see the complexity.

If you are going a flame spec DK then High Elf is your best choice, they get double the bonus damage with fire (6% rather than 3%) and increase magicka regen, which is better than having slightly more stamina pool.

Is Spell Power different to Spell Damage? Also I would take 2% Stamina over 1% Magica, weapon skills can come in.

    Yeah, I will roll Khajiit.

And when the raid leader or PUG leader is looking to fill slots, darn right I will have the advantage over other DPS in that situation.  It's naïve to think otherwise.

This is the way group content in MMOs work - for the tough encounters, for the really challenging content - the leaders will look for the best toons - best race, best build, a key piece of equipment, etc.   Always has been this way, always will be.

    ESO will be no different.
