March Patch
We will be releasing patch notes on Friday March 14th that will cover features and fixes in the patch that is currently scheduled for the week of March 17. As a quick preview, the patch next week will include:
Clan Markets
Set up shop within your clan city with your very own Market to bring home the bacon.
Masks
Monster faces on parade. Hide yourself behind garish masks that will delight and terrify friend and foe alike.

Dueling Tournaments
The Shamen of the Orkish Flaming Path have conceded to allowing the rest of the races to partake in their Burning Embers Rumble, a special tourney for testing mettle and general bad-assery.
To that end, in collaboration with the Orkish tribes, we are setting up a trial event to help us gauge the various aspects of developing such a tournament in the very near future. We do, after all, want such an event to be as fun as possible so we'll welcome and study any feedback we receive from any of you who wish to provide us with your constructive comments

I guess they ran out of features to add? Masks seem a bit odd in an open pvp environment, though.

This kinds sums up my thoughts : "I don't suppose I have any reason at all to be upset, since all the promises that AV has made about content are largely unfulfilled, and they spent development time implementing goofy features that caters to a whole different mentality than that of the average player."

Darkfall doesn't need to add anything and it is still better than most anything on the market that it competes with.
You must be joking, its nothing more than a shallow PvP deathmatch and what games would those be? It's that kind of thinking that will prevent DFUW from becoming anything of note.
DFUW offers little substance, yet AV takes time to add crap like masks,clan markets and enhanced dueling.

I have a feeling these masks were designed for the Asian market. Asian markets love masks.
I agree with you, Badaboom, Darkfall is still the most fun MMO on the market- despite it's flaws.
That double siege last night was really fun. We got another one tomorrow, should be around 9pm eastern.
I'm excited for the Area of Influence system.. I hope it comes out soon.

Well I disagree with you there. I'm of the opinion that if games don't offer FFA, instance free, open world pvp with hit detection and physics, then those are the shallow games. Yes I'm looking at you GW2 and ESO. This latest news however came out of left field. Slowly but surely AV is improving the game.
The new weather effects were a suprise. Simply beautiful.
I went ahead with the 6 month subscription deal. Figured, I could buy ESO or Wildstar, but I would just have buyers remorse.
Atleast I know I love this product, and I am helping AV get money to continue building on it.
