Not sure, but it kind of feels like they're still trying to find a way to tie content-creation of Landmark into EQN -- probably as a way to save dev costs or something, knowing SOE. I wouldn't expect much progress until after Landmark is up and running.
They probably are gauging a few other aspects of Landmark as well and determining if they should port those aspects to EQ:N. You aren't the only one waiting on Everquest Next news and progress, though. I'm only in the EQ:N Landmark alpha thanks to my brother gifting me a key and while it's an entertaining diversion, it's not what I am after in the long haul.
SOE are the only MMO publisher at the moment promising something other than another linear RPG with incidentally required multiplayer. There's Star Citizen and Shroud of the Avatar, but those are games that are taking features from the MMO genre and incorporating them into themselves more than being MMORPGs themselves.
They've released a decent amount of info considering Landmark is in the spotlight. Since SOE Live, they've shown dwarf, dark elf, and iksar concept art and named a few more classes and what they'll be like. Round Table vids have given some info, while mostly broad themes or plans, they at least give some insight into how EQN will function.
Beyond that, everything done in Landmark is a foreshadowing of what's to come in EQN. Movement, animations, building, simple crafting, world, etc. Combat, mobs, death, PVP, etc will be introduced soonish which will again show more of what's to come.
Highly doubt they will be showing too much real detail until at least SOE Live later this year.
Not sure what you are expecting, but I know on Reddit people have brought up the same topic and expect in-game footage of combat (already shown), mobs (already shown), classes (already shown), etc.
Would be awesome to get some more footage and real details, but at this point it doesn't really serve a purpose beyond keeping us interested. Landmark is supposed to do that, but obviously many don't want to try it or at least pay to try it.
They'll show us when their ready. No need to rush, especially with their development plan being what it is.

Not expecting much to be honest, At the very least them talking from a conceptual perspective some new things they are aiming for, or elaborating on this already discussed..

Im so tired of hearing about EQL. I want EQN. SOE is giving us nothing in terms of progress on EQN, but full steam ahead with the alpha or beta of EQL. Tired of it. Its off my radar for now. On with Wildstar.

EQN is off my radar too - will probably hear more at E3, SOE Live, and GDC
I'm not expecting a "paid" public alpha of EQN until 2015

The EQL alpha beta/ is pretty much testing the same tech they will be using in EQN. aka adding weather effects etc applies for both games. if you don't notice that your'e blind.
I agree I wanna hear about EQN, I don't care about landmark and kind of am annoyed that they started out talking up EQN for weeks and then threw landmark at us and haven't stopped that train for 5 minutes since.

I dont get how people dont get that a lot of whats in Landmark is whats going into EQN. When they talking about weather systems its gona be the same in both games. I cant count how many times I have watched a video about Landmark and they also tell us things about EQN. The info has not stopped.

Sadly common sense doesn't come with the internet, it must be a cash shop item people aren't willing to pay for
