PVP in Cyrodiil was actually very fun!

I replied in a lot of threads regarding how buggy this last build was compared to previous builds. I literally could not finish 90% of my quests because the final boss was absent. Then Sunday I decided to see Cyrodiil and had a wonderful day in ESO.

The world is beautiful, the combat for me is satisfying, I don't have to remember 50 combinations of moves and re-learn those 50 combinations of moves every time a new patch comes out because of nerfs. Now I'll only have to worry about 5! Yay :)

The clean GUI, the quests, everything that worked was really good.

So Friday was a really horrible day questing for me in ESO. Then I went to Cyrodiil. I had a great time in that open world PVPing.

If you can get a group of five to ten people to stealth near a narrow pass where stragglers travel every five minutes, the ambush ganking was the most fun I've had since WoW in BC raiding tarren mill. Then there are the seige weapons, the zerging. There is nothing more satisfying to me than coming over a rise with 100 comrades in arms and destroying 50 enemy players. Rompple stomps of old FTW!

In short for me, Cyrodiil was a long awaited glorious return to PVP.

The AvA is why this game will succeed.

Hopefully the pve catches up ....soon.

Typical of most pvp'ers the object is to win

Well if you don't enjoy quests, it's going to be a long road to 50 doing pvp

Obviously, hannibalektr has to be trolling I mean they speak only about outnumbering the enemy to make the games pvp look bad, not to mention it just drips with sarcasm... If they are remotely serious I feel sorry for them as that's not what ESO RvR(no it's not PvP it's a subset of PvP called RvR) is about, nor will be about.

you know that pvp no longer is a viable route to level right . don't expect many to bother with it for a while when the game goes live because of this .

What are you talking,  You can level in pvp pretty easy.

It is fun... at least, the first dozen or so times you go in. We'll see if that holds over time or if it simply devolves into mindless ping-ponging back and forth with no one caring who controls more keeps.

If the community can actually rally behind it and show some realm pride (hard to do with explorers; next to impossible with multiple Cyrodiil campaigns) like in the old DAOC monday night madness days, then the AvA zone could be something incredible, with areas set aside for duels, guilds that perform specific roles in the fighting, cross-faction events, etc.

My worry is that when your alliance is losing a campaign, people will jump ship to other campaigns, causing it to be lopsided, making that one a ghost town after awhile, causing it to be shut down or clustered. Campaigns that are more evenly split will reach their player cap faster and queue times will likely be long as a result.

The whole instanced idea makes it feel very fake. Why should you care if you're dominating one instanced Cyrodiil if it has no bearing on 29 other ones? It's not like servers where you're isolated from the other populations. If you shout that your campaign has just crowned an emperor in zone pve chat, no one is going to care because they're likely not in your campaign.

I'm not trolling, I meant every word I said. Don't feel sorry for me, I am having a great time playing this game. Many of the bugs are gone accept two I ran into. Horses still dismount in certain areas and I still have to reloadui for some quest givers or objectives. Sometimes I even had to log in and out. But the game is still playable. Last load test it was UNPLAYABLE. Glad they got it working at least.

Grouping worked fine and we could share quests. Had to go into contacts, right click my friend and choose "travel to player" to phase in with them. Solution: The moment you get invited to a group you should get a prompt to do so.

Love it, love it, love it!
