That's that then, beta weekends over and two weeks or so to go.

I like the game, didn't think I would at first but it grew on me. Its different from much that I've been doing and I'm interested in progressing. I've seen a lot of stuff saying its a clone of this or that. I don't really think so. There's a lot of subtle differences from what's currently out there. I'm gonna buy but probably just the standard version. Has there been any further info on subs, I see the monthly amount. Is there a lifetime sub option.  

A few thoughts/queries if anyone can help:

I really had to turn off the RMB block action. It was so frustrating entering combat mode all the time if I clicked RMB in error.

I would like a journal explanation of hit scores and skill point increases and xp gains, as I like to keep tabs on what's happening. LOTRO has one under the Combat tab.  I'm sure most MMO's have something similar.

I'm looking to join a good guild. I know you can be in 5. Cant find forums on ESO site, would be nice for some guild talk. Maybe they will add forums at launch. I'm in EU, will be daily player however only a few hours a day due to work etc. Casual type and like social interaction and chat. If anyone has any pointers, would be good.

Not sure what faction to join as I'm pretty new to ES Lore. Who are the good guys.

Is there a lantern effect you can toggle cos I have to turn the brightness up during night time in game. Could see next to nothing and now with CD it made things even harder.

I'm not really bothered about the bugs, they will get ironed out, the underlying game more than makes up for a few gliches.

Same here. i ended up liking it more than i thought I would.

 

Nothing new on the subs yet other than they will have the standard $15/month. Not sure if they will have options for multiple month discounts. I doubt they will have a lifetime sub, based on things they have said defending the monthly sub.

 

The RMB is just something you will get used to.  It just takes time.  If you right click in error just hit the Z key to sheath your weapons.

 

I'm not an expert on ES lore, but I'm sure that the people in each faction all believe that they are the good guys.   In truth, I don't think any of the factions are strictly good or evil. They mostly just have their own reasons for wanting control of the throne. A lot of it is racial, so just pick a race you think you would like to play and play in their faction. 

They bad guys are the ones dropping anchors into the ground. 

Odd about your night time vision.  I never had a problem seeing.  Do you have an ATI card? I had a problem in Fallout 3 seeing at night with my ATI card, which went away when it died and I had to put in an nvidia card.  Might have been a setting issue. <shrugs>

 

Yeah.  I think that a lot of the bugs from the stress test will go away at launch.  No MMO will ever launch bug free, but expect it to be in pretty good shape.
