spec swaping question

I never made it to lvl 15 or whatever the level is you get to swap specs so I have a question. I know you can swap weapons on the fly but what about armor types? If i understood the armor system correctly mana pool/regen, stamina pool/regen and health pool/regen are tied to bonuses from armor type traits.

So if i choose set 1 as a tank with heavy armor and set 2 as a healer or caster wont i be gimped as a healer or caster in heavy armor?

No, you just swap weapons and attached skills (5 + 1 ultimate). No armor, no stats no nothing... But its real time on the fly during combat....  Both weapons in my vision are part of a single spec.

There is an add-on that allows you to swap armor at the same time as you swap weapon.
