The animations for motion / weapom swings / staff attacks and all inbetween.
A big portion of "immersion" for me is the way your character moves and attacks.
The game itself or better said the engine is good, not th emost impressive, but it can look amazing in some shots and thats fantastic.

But then you start fighting and i coulnt help myself saying WHY !!!! it has some of th emost horrific animations i have seen :(
It doesnt have to be over the top !!! but hire that studio that do specialise in these kind of things like motion capture and add those "skeleton" inside your character so it moves like a real human being and swings / cast realisticly.

That was for me the big turnoff even tough the rest of the game felt realy solid.

Scrap the game. Give us all mechanics in Skyrim, but online. Profit.

They should have made an Elder Scrolls game that is played online. We got a bland MMO with an Elder Scrolls skin,

    1. A user interface that gives you information about what is happening in the game.

    2. A minimap

    3. Grid based inventory management (lists and menus scream bad console port)

Side objectives in PVP that actually matter, instead of pointless pve quests and dungeons. Maybe something like getting rid of stupid Alliance Point mechanic and have a Siege crafting skill that uses mats gathered from Cyrodill only.

And of course, housing, speech bubbles, dueling, auction house or something like it, underwater swimming, etc. The usual stuff.

    - underwater swimming

    - achievement system with some actual decent rewards

    - option to truly turn off quest markers (the option they added in the last patch doesn't actually do this)

    - make fishing actually have some sort of use, such as having the fish in recipes.  In old beta builds they did have this but took it out for some dumb reason

    - add collections (like EQ2 and RIFT)

    - housing

    - chat bubble OPTION

    - eliminate cash shop and make imperial race obtainable in game

Fix dungeon / PvP xp so people don't have to experience the boring quests if they don't want to. Otherwise rewrite the entire quest script.

The ability to craft jewelry.  Allow for the addition of more traits to items when improving them from color to color.  allow for higher color items can have more enchantments added to them. separate out crafting items from others in storage(especially now that most crafting items have no vender value).  they have a costume slot already in game - they need to use it fiercely and not with cash shop items, stuff earned in game or crafted. Separate shield from sword and give more weapon options, like wands, crossbows, and scepters. Yes this would add more skill lines but that would be great, think of a charging shield bash!

Honestly? The only thing I would change is a non action based combat system. They have the best action combat by far in the genre in this point, but I'm still not sold on the whole action combat thing. I'm playing an MMO, not D3.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it

New content patches done in time, before too much of the playerbase is lost.

I almost feel the same way.  Obviously they won't scrap the game, but the technology isn't there yet to implement everything you would find in an Elder Scrolls game into an MMO format.  Instead they have to put in compromises or simply leave whole features out just to shoe horn a single player game into an MMO mold.

I'm not surprised some people are excited by this game.  After all it's new and shiny.  I hope the fans of this game get their money's worth out of it since they are willing to settle with what this game has to offer.

That is kind of odd.  Does everyone wear name tags where you live?

This isn't an Elder Scrolls Game, where you can be the boss or destroy the guild. This is an mmo.

The point is, RL people look distinct enough to differ them by how they look, game avatars don't.

All that and some kind of transmog like WOW has or a simple vanity slot like Rift / EQ2 to change armor appearance.
