Isn't it strange how people complain about issues like logging in if the server is getting hammered but will most likely be fixed quickly. People actually then say "oh that launch was bad" as if it mattered at all.

It's all an illusion.
Players cause all this..
I work in the gaming industry and player hype does not mean the game launches sooner than already scheduled. Don't talk crap.
You work in the Industry and you are saying that Marketing Feedback has no bearing?
Stop and realize it's all business 101.
And stop saying you work in the gaming industry. the true Gaming industry is that of Casinos, which you clearly don't understand. just say you work in the VideoGame Industry please.
LOL
So please tell the world why games get released half finished since you work in the industry.
I'm not even worried about the bugs, that is sort of expected, except the two I mentioned should never happen at any stage of development. I am disappointed by them rushing the game to release when it's not ready and feature incomplete.
See that's the point.... it doesn't feel rushed. How does it feel rushed, got any examples?
Already posted them read back a page or two...

Why hate a game you paid for to get into early access ?
i find it mind boggling that you are so super critical of a game thats not even officially released. This is early access, and so far its almost perfect ... for me... seriously dont pre-order a game to get early access if you are gonna go fruit bat crazy on the smallest of bugs.
Jeesh, i mean really man get a grip here. Your ranting over the smallest of details.
I am more angry that my ISP found out it was early access for TESO and decided to go tits up all day off and on ruining my fun... TITS UP !
Once a game hits 1.0 and releases for Early Access that game is launched AKA released. Never said I hated the game, I said it is rushed and has bugs that simply should never happen in any game at any stage of development.

Originally posted by MorningStarGG First off character creation only works half-ass. Most sliders have no affect, you cannot for some reason zoom in on your character(options are there they don't work). Oddly, they worked in "beta".
Secondly, the drop to the main city instead of the starter islands still feels off and like more work should have been done, or they should have just left them intact with an option starting from them to skip them.
Then I found I couldn't even report a bug that shouldn't even exist by the way and only does because of the above, the bug report part of the game kept asking me to "select an impact" or something stupid that for the life of me I couldn't figure out, or get to work.
Obviously the game is not ready for launch and any features added over the next several months(if they keep their word!) should have been in at launch. I feel they are just trying to release now to get money back from development so they can finish their game and called it "meaningful content updates".
Trion is the only developer that released rapid, meaningful updates to their game(RiFT) sadly the lore and the story are not gripping and feels a bit uninspired. Love the game but wish if would hold my attention better.
With all this said I am working on getting Skyrim ready to play(have yet to get very far as I was awaiting DLC, and mods.) so there ya go. The game could have been great, and still might get better, but only because they finish the game a few months from now.
What irritates me is people who say companies sell betas, I never agreed with that before now. This is clearly a beta being sold as retail. And to get the most options(race, faction, and other goodies) you have to pre order, and get the Imperial Edition(I got it, but I am going to withhold my key so I can keep my free 30 days for later when the game is more complete, and ready). I also only paid standard edition price for the Imperial Edition(60 instead of 80).
So you had this post pre-typed and ready to post to every thread. Interesting how you claim to know about the current state of the game, yet admit your not currently playing it.
Never once did I admit I was not playing it. I said I won't play it further. The game is not ready, anyone who ignores that, brushes it off or otherwise is the very reason this game will have a rough time. The developer need to know these things and need to realize releasing games that are not ready will not be tolerated. The game has been live for over 4 hours now, I had plenty of time to see the current "launch" state. Your attempt to discredit me when I stated FACT, not opinion has failed.
And before all the defenders and fanboys come out to play I never said the game was bad, I said it was, and remains thus far at "launch" incomplete and rushed.
You are kinda saying you are not playing it now, as you are withholding your key.
Anyhow, I'm really satisfied as well. One of the best and smoothest launches for me. Want to make a long post about how great this is, but I don't have time. Got to get back to Tamriel.
I am withholding my retail key, I used my Early Access key, they are two different things. Have fun.

MorningstarGG - If this is all it takes for you to quit a game maybe you need to find a new hobby.
Maybe this is your first MMO launch, or maybe you are just being argumentative, but MMO launches have issues. Always have, always will.
In the grand scheme of things the ESO launch is pretty smooth.
Seems to me like you are trying to find things to complain about rather than trying to enjoy the game. The things you have mentioned are so minor that most people will just say "hmmm thats a bit annoying" and then carry on enjoying the game

I really didn't see the OP complain.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
The OP never complained by the way it is a poster that replied to his post that voiced his opinion on how he found the game that he had enter his early access key. And it went downfall from there with all the fan boys of the game.

Doesn't matter. He didn't sing high praises for ESO so he should be burned!!!!!

So what's the deal with this whole all NPCs, players, and monsters vanishing glitch? I relog and then a few seconds later it happens again. I'm hearing stories about people getting stuck in the Coldharbour tutorial because the Prophet isn't even spawning. Any news on a hotfix of some sort? I'm very tolerant on MMO launch issues but this is game-breaking.
I was in for a few hours but keep getting big lag spikes and keep getting dropped from the server. Then I couldn't log in for a bit and now I'm back in and all that happens is nothing but huge lag spikes and I keep getting dropped from the server over and over.
guys i am watching a stream and on that stream there are no one in the chat or in the game. and every so called rift or anything is just something u cannot do since no one play the game.

Looks like as more people are logging in its starting to glitch. I had to rush to work so couldn't play but i asked my guildies and they said monsters during the quests are disappearing.
Yeah I can't even really play anymore. I log in and nothing works and then i just get dropped from the server. At least it's ony EA and they can use this time to fix this shit. Of course i'm off today and tomorrow so was hoping i could play more.
i realized something here, this is all a matter of perspective.
I was there on launch day for Anarchy Online, by far one of the most dismal and distressing releases of a MMO to date. To Funcoms credit they turned AO into a real gem but it took them over a month to really get it going, and over a year to get the game to award winning status.
Dark Age of Camelot had tons of server issues and bugs up the wazzzooo, but that game will be one of the strongest MMO experiences i will ever have, and i compare almost all other MMO's PvP to DAoC.
Star Wars Galaxies was horrid at its launch, but again amazing gameplay and amazing crafting/social aspects made that game very memorable, and will hold a special space in my Creature Handler heart.
We come to The Elder Scrolls Online, i have had non-stop fun, with the only issues occuring from my ISP and maybe a minor bug with a quest, other then that its been smooth as silk.
For me only Guild Wars 2 eclipses TESO's release day, and that is a very high bar, since i cannot think of anything that went wrong on GW2 release day (for me).
So yes its a matter of perspective when you consider all of the past MMO release days and compare those experiences to TESO today.
Almost smooth, if it wasn't for the fact that you can't zoom in on the character creation the 1st few hours, it's not really big of an issue, but just a really missed opportunity for the smoothest launch of any MMO recently
thank god i was using a 27inch Monitor, so i was still able to stick my face close to the monitor to see the little details

Not my experience.
Been trying to login for 3 hours with no success.
No problem logging in during beta, not even close to getting in today - puzzling.

I sure hope next Tuesday is going to be smooth and playable.
And hope it's not too crowded, but probably will be.
Any answer on this pls?

Lolipops !
I had problems with unknown error and quests not being able to interact with character.
I thought I would rather have a good game with bugs than a crap game without, now its running good I think the players just had to spread out a bit.
Thx
no lags, no bugs, good framerate. Everything is fine, nice start so far, keep it going
And a lot of players. Wow how many people were in Daggerfall and this was just my phase, it was awesome, the atmosphere was quite nice.
Ah one bug, riding still isn´t without problems sometimes i get unmounted without a reason
