I was looking for some information on raiding in ESO and the only info I could find was from more than 8 months ago. Are there going to be dungeons for more than 4man runs? Like 8man, 16man, etc? If not I can see a lot of dedicated PVE raiding guilds not sticking with the game.
I don't consider a 4man group running into an enemy faction 4man in an open world dungeon a 8man btw.

there is going to be12 but it's still vague. Other than that, it's just 4.

I feel somewhat proud that you made your 4th post on a 9 year old account by replying to my thread.
TWELVE PERSON GROUP PVE:
Trials. Twelve people fighting through an increasingly difficult experience. A Trial is instanced to your group of twelve. There is a staging area where you can plan your attack and the Trial itself.
In a Trial, you will have a limited number of resurrections, known as a Soul Reservoir. Too many resurrections mean that you have failed the trial. It takes a lot of coordination to survive a Trial. The enemies you face in a Trial will be difficult, while the surroundings are some of the most beautiful places in ESO. Provided you do survive and make it to the end of a Trial, your group might make it to the leaderboard. Trials have a running clock and mistakes, including deaths, can add a time penalty. Turn in a great time, however, and you might make it to the top of the leaderboard. If you fail, your group can restart and try again.
Some dungeons in the upcomming adventure zone will be 12 man
the trials itselves also seem to be 12 man
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Heh... cant even remember what for I made account back then, most likely it had something to do with defending WWIIonlines honor in mmo forum universe .
Now I have been playing in ESO in beta and in launch and wanted to see how others felt about it so I came here, because games official forums are utter crap in my opionon
LOL
Like there is any time sitting down and enjoying beautiful scenery while clock is running against you .
Party leader: PPL! STOP... Scenery!! Enjoy!!
5 secs later
Party leader: OK folks.. lets roll!!
I hope that the 12man dungeons there won't be an afterthought. Like the really light fluff content just to say 'we added it' that a lot of developers of recent years have done. Would be neat if the dungeons we large and difficult enough to keep the more dedicated PVE guilds attracted to the game. There's a LOT of raid guilds out there that treat good dungeons like its their bread and butter. I think it would be wise business to include that content as a serious contender to other mmo's with 12 man raids.
Imo the game wont hold the Group PvE oriented Guilds for long.
I don't want to criticize the game and that's not my intention at all, but this isn't the kind of content that will keep those who like Group PvE like Raiding etc.
Maybe for a solo PvE player is ok, maybe more than ok, but i don't think its enough for those who like Group PvE and Raids.
Maybe i m wrong but that's my opinion
I think the same. Those guilds like to schedule nights for raiding, and they'd like to have a decent amount of people attending. A guild with 30+ people on at almost any given time isn't going to keep the raid night tradition if the only option they have is to make 8 separate teamspeak rooms just to section off everyone doing 4man content. Especially when they would MUCH prefer to have only have 3 or 4 rooms dedicated to 12man raids and larger.
If the 12man raids they release in the future are really high quality dungeons, then perhaps there will be some retention with PVE raid centric guilds.
The Wildstar thread is over there you can discuss and exciting for upcoming release date.
No need to came here and trash other game which is not your cup of tea
Lol dude, chill. He's just stating what he thinks will happen. That doesn't mean he's trashing the game, or even dislikes it for that matter. Also not every person who loves large raids is going to like WildStar. There are many other factors that may outweigh the raiding system for some. ESO may simply be a world a person would rather raid in with their guild, even if ESO doesn't currently offer it at the size they like, while WS does.
I personally like quality PVP and quality PVE. When I get to higher levels, I do enjoy it when a game offers raids around the 16 man scale. However I just don't find the world of wildstar to be all that alive feeling, and so I don't really want to spend time raiding in it.
No one knows what will the future be for TESO or any other game. Maybe they will make it the ultimate Group PvE game, i don't know. I m just speaking as it is right now. And i m saying it again, that's my opinion in a specific aspect of the game. Nothing more.
Just like there is no point in going to forums to simply pour negativity on a game, there is also no reason to spin everything in a positive light for a game. In this particular case for instance, the answer to the question posed is that there are no Raids or group PvE content above the 4 man group in ESO at the moment, but there might be later.
By answering in a straight forward manner the fans of any given game doesn't give potential players a skewed view of their beloved game and therefore will have donated their 10p to keep the un-warranted hate to a minimum. Nothing garners more resentment than false or broken promises.
it's fine that he's stating his opinion but I saw him almost in every ESO thread and most his viewpoints are pessimism about this game, I certainly sure that he really hate this game, but no idea why he like to bash the game that isnt his personal taste
I love Elder Scrolls series but not this one. This is true. I have many rl friends and guild m8's that already play and some of them have a blast as they say to me. But this doesn't mean i cant criticize or even hoping the best for a game i don't like. Not ofc for the companies but for the ppl who bought and play the games.
Anyway this is the thread i posted for TESO to check how I see the whole game thing http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/post/6264753#6264753
And btw i m always speaking in friendly tone and have no hard feelings to any one
