So is this game actually launched yet?

[mod edit], I don't quite get the game's status: is it actually launched yet or are people still playing some extended or paid beta version? No, seriously, is it live or not?

The preorder people are all now live. On the 4th, the people that did not preorder go live.

    Thank you.

    Is it any good?

Or it is SWTOR good? IE. Launch: 'It's the greatest game ever!'. One week later: 'It's shit. Keep away'.

Or is is Rift good: IE. Launch: 'It's pretty good'. Six months later: 'The gimmicks wear out fast'.

Or is it LOTRO good: IE. Launch: 'It's very slow and traditional. Niche only'. A year later: 'You know, it's not bad. It ha longevity'

Can't complain. It's a matter of personal approach but to me I didn't have so much fun since like LotRO or vanilla WoW (not comparing those gams as they are not alike - just same amounts of fun to me)

    Well so far so good.

Or is is Rift good: IE. Launch: 'It's pretty good'. Six months later: 'The gimmicks wear out fast'.

What killed Rift to me was:

    1. Weird decisions regarding zone events during beta (so still before launch)

    2. Even worse decisions regarding PvP especially after patch 1.4

    3. Weird design decisions regarding rifts (just an addition to overall standard MMORPG built around instancing)

    So far in TESO:

    1. Fun PvP. Still a few things to tweak here and there but then in RvR much depends on players you play with (so give it some time and then see how it worked out). Other than that it's solid

    2. No sudden design changes so far

    3. Devs delivering what they said they'll deliver (note that adventure zones and veteran content are still unknowns to majority)

I guess we will see but then Trion at this point alreadyd did few rather big mistakes. ZOS made only one, rather small, with taking weapon racks in tutorial:-)

Or is it LOTRO good: IE. Launch: 'It's very slow and traditional. Niche only'. A year later: 'You know, it's not bad. It ha longevity'

And still if you log into LotRO you should see players there and have someone to play with really. To be fair the most impacting changes were made after launch (starting with 1st expansion) and have little to do with vanilla game.

Well, we have to wait a few months to see, huh? image

Personally, i expect the traditional "It's amazing" at launch, followed by the "Meh, it's nice, but i left because i got bored/nothing to do/no endgame/*insert reason peope left and start bashign the game*" from some players, while others keep playing.

I saw it with Rift, TOR, GW2, TSW, etc. (Can't talk much about LOTRO).

If you're interest in buying the game (in case you haven't yet), i recomend not listening to pleople on online forums much. Read up on the game, watch videos (livestream are going because of launch), ask any questions you might have andthen decide. Usually, gamers can only go between "it sucks" and "it's amazing".

Every game has a honeymoon phase.  Time will tell if we're still playing in a couple months.  If you're asking if it's any good now, I think you'll get a resounding yes from the majority.

This game is really a love letter to Elder Scrolls fans.  If you really enjoy exploring, taking your time, lore, and crafting, this is the game for you  if you're a traditional MMO player who rushes to the endgame there's nothing here for you.  Move along.

'Move along'? What's that supposed to mean?

I'd guess it is telling players to not play ESO if you like 'endgame'

I somewhat wonder this myself. Still have ingame freeze problem tha was in beta and known issue, frog quest still bugged and now the anchors that worked in beta now don't work.

It means exactly what I said.  Not sure what you're misunderstanding.  If you're a MMO player that rushes to endgame and doesn't enjoy exploring and taking your time in an immersive world, this isn't the game for you.  Im not sure how much more clearly I can spell it out.

My only complaint on the weapons rack issue is that they didn't put a bow on the table. Their is one of everything else, but no bow... WTF??
