Twenty-five years ago today, Ian Curtis, the lead singer of Joy Division, took his own life. The avatar I use is a picture of Curtis taken the year prior to his death.
Joy Division reformed after Curtis' death and became New Order, but Curtis' spirit lives on in the recordings of the seminal post-punk group of the late 70's.
