This is why I'll never play a game like this on a console.
One of the things I love about this game is the ability to play with the available mods from the talented Mod Community. I currently have Auto Emote, Wykkyd's Framework, Wykkyd's Quest Tools, Chart Alert, ESO Theater (assigning buttons to emotes), insMobs2Level, Overcharge Info, Range Reticle, Skyshards (on map), Thurisaz Guild Info (includes character name), Zamm Buff Display (long term buffs), and ZrMiniMap.
I feel like I have just enough to not clutter the screen too much. The Chat Buttons in the top left are not always there. They are configurable buttons that appear just by typing /et. You can choose from all 170 or so emotes and display 10 buttons. I'm always flirting so its nice to have that button lol. I like the Range Reticle for spells. I love the Overcharge Info. By typing for example /OC Magicka, it will show you by what percent and how many you are over in the chat box. You may be able to see that in the chat box of one of the pics. Notice the guild picture shows character names too, not just account names.
What Mods are you using? Its easy to install them. Just plop them in the User, Name, My Documents, Elder Scrolls Online, Live, Add On folder by extracting the zip files to that location.

There are a lot of things missing from the UI, from basic functionality to convenience information. Some of them are covered by currently released addons and some are not. A big thing that is not covered is the ability to hide the account name from everywhere and only show character name (with perhaps the ability to show account name if you hover the mouse over the character name.
There is also some functionality missing that I don't think is covered properly by addons. For example, a means to identify guild members when running around.
Here's my list so far:
I agree with you about the account name. I think it hurts immersion as well. I'm just glad at least now I can see the character name in the guild window. You might want to try installing Wykkyd's Framework. It combines a lot of the other mods into one, which is why I no longer use Simple Clock even though Simple Clock does stand out more :-). It also includes a Mount Feeder timer, again, just not as pronounced as the single mod. Take a look at the top of my screen print. You can select which info to display. I unchecked a few crafting options.

Might be an idea to just add to this thread started yesterday. There are plenty of other threads on this too, but that's the only one so far I found interesting (for the mention of Minion, if nothing else). Best to keep things in one place and all that

Thanks, I didn't see this thread, though I think mine is more helpful lol. Regardless, I've moved my OP to that thread in the event mine is locked :-) hehe.

I've put some links on the addons I listed. I also don't want to change the minimalistic feel of the game. So for me it's either the default compass or minimap, not both. Personally I prefer the compass. Also I don't want floating text or action bars that are not in line with the original UI design. This is the reason I don't use any buff addon, though I really would have liked the functionality during combat.
Some guild auction store addons are coming out as well. Those I need to check, since the default interface is completely useless and doesn't offer even basic functionality, like a search function or working filters.
