Well ESO's PVP .. you just dont read about it anywhere nor in game.

I really believe the reason some love ESO is because it is by far the easiest mmo out. You are hand held to every quest. You can kill almost everything in seconds. Its DEAD in so many spots. Then bots and bots and bots.

This says it best "trash is another man's treasure"

    Not enough cream maybe.....

But seriously.  Not bitter at all.  I'm almost done with ESO.  Getting bored with it.  About a week or two left until I'm done.  Just like biting the bait when I have time.

I am a huge THE Elder Scrolls fan (yes THE because you know that is the actual name of the franchise not ESO...) and have spent roughly 12K hours with all titles combined. So I guess it is save to say I know a thing or two about it.

TES is a SP experience through and through, though with the rise of MMO's (and online games in general) this decade many players have been dieing for a solid RPG with co-op features. Alas these gamers were dissapointed. Then TESO came around, many who loved the franchise hoped for a "Skyrim with co-op", these players were dissapointed yet again.

I've spent roughly 50 hours or so with TESO and it feels bland to me, a generic MMO with a TES paintjob. The sense of complete freedom, worth while exploration and truly feeling like you're the hero (and not person #945 on the list of possible world saviors). It simply misses most of what TES stands for (atleast in my mind!).

Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad game at all, and it looks amazing, it has some interesting ideas concerning gameplay mechanics, and as a diehard TES fan.. who wouldn't want more TES lore and storytelling?! Like I said though, for most it's the problem that it is a MMO with TES thrown over it, not TES with a bit of MMO.

Your idea of a solid game is not mine, i constantly run into bugged quests may 5 or 6 a day i have played alphas with less bugs than this also on some they are on their 5th fix trying to fix it that in itself shows how unprofessional zenimax really is common now they still have localization bugs none of which have been fixed.

Sure i still play the game i like skyrim and eldar scrolls it is only reason why i still have a sub i am still bugged on main quests still waiting fior zenimax to fix them.

Turning well loved single player RPGs into MMO's is bound to get a lot of critics.  ESO can never fully please Skyrim lovers.

Sub based MMOs are also a big problem these days.  They simply charge too much considering how little they offer compared to more polished titles or B2P games like GW2.

I haven't played it and I have no interest in it.  The same goes for WildStar.  I just doubt either offers anything I can't find elsewhere done better.

I think FF14:ARR is a very good pve themepark.

The originally released version I didn't like.

I might like ESO if the put it back into development and made a game that competed with Archeage.

Odd I had exactly the opposite reaction.  I've never played a more solo oriented mmo before.  With the majority of experience points, skill points, and celebrity voice acting all tied into the solo questing experience at the expense of traditional mmo elements.

So here we arrive at the nuts and bolts of why ESO has so many problems.  The solo questing experience that so much of the game was built around was not good enough to satisfy Skyrim fans, but at the same time was offputting to the traditional mmo crowd that play mmos... to well... be with other people.  Thus they left both their primary demographics disappointed, in fact I would say the only part they really hit out of the park was the DAOC PvP... but... since you couldn't really level in PvP and missed out on like 75% of skill points staying in the PvP zone... they successfully irritated that crowd as well.

Where did you gather I find TESO a proper Multiplayer experience? I never said so nor do I think it is that. Most MMO's (or truthfully pretty much every online game) lack a purpose for grouping and are completely solo-able.

As I posted in another topic concerning MMO's in general:

Currently most "MMO's" aren't even Massively Multiplayer, they are simply Online games, I don't need millions of players breathing down my neck, but in the past few years I haven't found a MMO which I couldn't solo.

If you ask me both 'Massively Multiplayer' and 'Role Playing' have left the MMORPG genre. And that ladies & gentlemen is exactly why I stopped playing them.
