With all this bug fixing going on it just makes me wonder if the pc version is really the beta for the console version. I highly doubt the console version will have as many issues as the pc version has.
With zero information out about consoles, I would not be surprised its delayed at the very least. It wouldnt be the first mmo to console that gets scraped (AoC and War anyone?)
Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing. PS3
I expect the game will be faaaar smoother by the time the console release rolls around.
ZOS will have 2-3 months of live server experience under their belt by the time ESO hits consoles. Plus a huge number of bugs and issues fixed. If they don't manage to get the goldsellers under control in the PC version, I might switch to consoles myself...

Agreed. They'll remove more bugs, have less gold spammers, etc. It'll simply be smoother. But while i expect sales to be higher on consoles, i also expect lower sub numbers in the long run. It'll be intersting to watch how ZOS will handle any possible business model changes if something goes wrong or right in either platform.

Indeed, it's going to be interesting to watch this story unfold.
Zenimax is not entirely dependant on ESO for their revenue, or even a major slice of it, so they will probably take their time with adjustments to the business model. They were also quite clever by ring-fencing ESO within a seperate business unit (ZOS), which probably means they can do all kinds of creative things with the accounting...
ESO will have worked out many of the bugs the PC copy has, that being said. The console will have its own set of problems that will take months to work out. Just my personal experience
They will use the PC version to fix a lot of the problems and likely delay if necessary until it's read for consoles. I would expect it'll be much better for consoles when launched.
So the console versions all have their own dedicated servers.... Yeah, it would be interesting if they were really successful but I really doubt it. I'm assuming the majority of mmo players are already playing on PC and the console players will be the few unfortunates playing the same game only with less people around.
Plus there will be whatever bugs unique to each version. Hopefully, since it is made by a different team they won't have a bad version(PS3) like Skyrim.

Thats the reason why I think it would not succeed on consoles. XBox and PS are on their own servers. How many players will be around in 3 months, 6? It would have a better shot if they did it like Square-Enix, and drop Xbox and have PS4 and PC together.
