I have been crafting on mules and I noticed that the stations keep showing up in however high a level zone I enter with my main. This can be a problem because I can not see a low level mule managing to get to such stations.
Are they in the veteran level areas? IE do you need to get your crafting mules to level 50+ to get to the tables? If they stop at level 50 then at least you can try to get there, dying several times, but eventually making it, unlike veteran or the new RR10-12 area where you are committed to getting the level just to access it.
I have thusfar avoided doing any crafting on my main character. Should I put whatever craft I feel is most important (or two) on said character because he is guaranteed of reaching the high levels? Or would this spread him too thin as opposed to not having any crafting points on your main? Is it expected in the veteran levels that you do not have a craft or etc?
The idea of bringing several characters to max level who specifically have very few points in their adventuring careers is painful. I was going to stop at like 40 skill points so each mule had two skills, but if they won't be able to get to the endgame crafting tables then I am going about it incorrectly.

I'm VR5 and on several occasions I have cleared a path to the station to help a guild mate get there. It's getting there that can be dicey especially in the 40-45 zone.
Once you're at the station you're usually safe. I say usually because I'm aware of a couple that are in the open air that have mob spawns nearby... in that case the low level crafter might need a friend to act as a bodyguard.
