How is the customer support for dealing with quest problems?

SendenSenden Member UncommonPosts: 602

Made a nightblade on AD, got to the very last quest in Mistral (the island) and once I completed it, Razum-dar won't give me the follow up "To Auridon".

Anyhow, I've left a ticket with customer support and was wondering how good they are with these sort of problems ie: can they actually even sort my problem?  Seeing as I'm not far into the game on this character, I could just start again or is it worth giving customer support a chance and just going on my DK until they get round to my ticket?

They are actually not very good at solving the problems, I think they respond by a decent time but actually fixing the problems are slow.

Most quest bugs can be fixed by relogging or trying again the next day, if you haven't tried that yet.

Also looking for these bugs and /or posting your bugs on their forums are helpful too:

A lot of times you see other people having the same problem and how they fixed it.

Unfortunately relogging isn't helping. I had the problem yesterday and figured I need to explore for the next quest giver alas after not finding anyone and checking out videos online, found that it's bugged.

Got a lightning fast response from customer support which was encouraging however unfortunately it's a typical copy and paste which wasn't helpful at all. Seeing how fast they respond, fingers crossed they can actually do something.

I've reported issues with three bugged quests so far and never received any form of response.

In theory you should just be able to teleport to the the Vulkhel Guard wayshrine if you want to leave the island.

My personal experience has been very souring.  I have been very disappointed.  I have yet to get an in-game response; I have always had to resort to email support.

With the email support I've gotten nothing but canned responses: "We are gamers, too, and we really want to help you..."

What they should be saying is: "We are clueless subcontractors who really don't give a rat's ass about your problem, so we're using an automated response system that, quite frankly, isn't very good..."

They have never solved any issue, but acted as if they were inducing delays in the hopes I would go away... and maybe that was the whole goal all the time.

Well I've gone back and forth with email response and tbh, I've came to the conclusion that they're about as useful as a condom machine in the Vatican. While at first I enjoyed their overly friendly responses, by the end when it was clear that they couldn't do much, it just got on my nerves.  The main positive I'd take out of it was that at least they responded in a timely manner usually within 45 mins.

I'm not sure if you are reading an old guide (damn those last minute beta-to-launch changes), but as our characters now arrive on Auridon, not on the starter islands (you would have had to travel from Auridon to Kenarthi's Roost), the quest you are looking for is likely redundant.

Have you actually tried using the ship or a wayshrine to travel back to Auridon? The Prophet should pop up at some point and continue on your main quest, assuming he hasn't already.

Their customer support sucks. So slow at responding to bugs that needs fixing.
