Was just thinking EQN seems a lot more like an attempt at a new and improved WoW than it does a new and improved EQ.

What if other industries did that? Take the fast food industry. Pizza Hut, while successful, makes a lot less money than McDonalds. Do you think Pizza Hut would be successful in changing their products to taste and look like hamburgers?

Based on what I've read, even Planetside 2 seems like a cross between Planetside 1 and WoW.

Luckily, i don't need you to like me to enjoy video games. -nariusseldon.
In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit

    Even EQ itself isn't the old school EQ many of us loved back in the day. There just isn't much of a market for it these days.

    What information leads you to believe that EQN will be an attempt at an improved version of WoW? Is it the same type of information that lead you to believe PS2 is like WoW lol?

    Don't you know, all games are clones of WoW, considering it was the first MMO and had all the fresh new ideas and innovation. If it wasn't for WoW all games in every genre wouldn't be where they are today.

    Well I must admit while playing around with Landmark, World of Warcraft never entered my thoughts. Maybe it's that there is no combat or danger involved yet.

     

    These two titles really don't have very much in common.

     

    I believe we will find that for better or worse EQ-Next will be very different from WoW

    Planetside 2 like WoW? I can't even understand how that could ever be anyone's opinion, so please give examples how.
