I dunno, I am soon to be 48 and I like the music fine. Some zones better than others of course, but it's a decent soundtrack.

Same here. 44 and the music is fine to me. It's one of the few MMOs where I have left the music on after the first half hour.

Wildstar's music was actually impressive to me, i was surprised. (a bit repetitive)
Not to bring up ESO, but the music in game was fantastic and done very well. You rarely heard the same track twice and if you did it was very long after you heard it the first time and it was always very pleasant and easy on the ears.
It was the artistic approach and attention to detail that made ESO great, too bad everything else didn't live up to this. I wish ESO had half the features of Wildstar...
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
Wildstar has quite good music imo. However, some of the tunes are downright amazing. My favourites (from my experience with the game so far) are
A story of Hope and Healing (Celestion - Woodhaven tune)
Justice doesn't always a badge (Tremor Ridge tune)
There might be other good ones too.
And honestly lots of MMOs have great music these days. It's very important for creating an ambiance with which you can connect to the game and your character. GW2 is one of the best i will say in this regard as it had tons of great tunes to go along with the regions.
I like the music but I can see how it can get repetitive. Someone needs to make an AddOn that will let you control the music so you can choose to remove or even replace the ones you don't like.

I somewhat have to come back on my statement... where the music in Algeroc hitted my irritation level
music in Whitevale is very good... Espescially in last Man Standing... With some nice country rock theme
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Algeroc wasn't bad.
But Whitevale is amazing.
GF was pointing out to me how she loved the last man standing music upon reaching it last night.
I think it's up there with Cold Supremacy of Science.

I'm glad to see the OP is starting to see the variety of musical styles within WildStar. The soundtrack is over 9 hours long.
Just ran across this beauty today: "Our Perception of Beauty" - it happens during a Drusera instance in your 40's.
It's near the top of my favorite tracks in the game: https://soundcloud.com/inhisgroove/our-perception-of-beauty

My experience with the music is varying from day to day...
after two hours in lightreach my head is running around my ears in circles, brainwashed by the churchmusic..

I find the music suits the areas very well. It's a great soundtrack, especially the dominion areas!
Of course though, hearing the same thing over and over will get old...I am sick of hearing "Turn down for what" on the radio....
