Hey guys, I have read about many saying performance boosts have been increased in the full release so I got a friend of mine to send me a 7 day trial.
But I still have the same problem with the game When I stand still I get 60 FPS, but when I move I have 15-20 FPS.
AMD Phenom II X6 1075 T 3,4 GHZ oc
nvidia geforce 660 ti
8gb ddr3 ram
Win 7 64.
Any tips do get performance?

if you do the following you will get the game up to a plyable state:
1: get Razer game booster and use, in effect you want to shut down as many processes and services and apps as possible to free up CPU, since it has having CPU issues at the moment (Carbine are talking to AMD etc)
2. out of all the settings, reduce view distance right down to about 450 - or tweak until you are happy and reduce or event switch off shadows. Game still looks fine, and these changes alone makes the game playable.
3 (may work depending on setup) switch to dx9
4. do the following in chat to change the view angle (looks much better) and to cap framerate and reduce spell effects
/eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable('video.framerateMax', 33)
/eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable('spell.visualSuppression', 0.9)
/eval Apollo.SetConsoleVariable('camera.FovY', 60)
5 If you can overclock your cpu, get whatever you can out of your system.
6. replace the existing TargetFrame with the addon FastTargetFrame
7. depending on wether you were in beta, try wiping c:/Users/Home/AppData/Roaming/NCSoft
8. Increase paging size to help smooth asset loading (unconfirmed )

None of this did help me.
I have the problem that I got a steady 60 fps when I stand still, no matter how much activity there is around me. The moment I type on my keyboard or use my mouse, the FPS drops down to 15-18 FPS in an instant.
The game runs like an @$$ on many systems. high end systems struggle for 40fps when the scenes are "heavy" or "populated".
There has been little to none "realworld" improvements in performance yet and we have to hold on tight till they do.
Might take em a month or 6 months to do that, you never know.

And under the ashes of infinity,
Hope, scarred and bleeding,
breathed its last."
It shocks me that the game sold at all with this kind of performance for these type of graphics.
Im getting ok fps with my phenom x4 and GTX460 After a bit of tweaking. The game looks smart, plays great which ultimately matter in the long run considering Carbine have openly aknowledge issues and are in communication with AMD.
If you were shocked at this, you would have been shocked a Wow start up and not to mention GW2.

WoW and GW2 both had considerably higher FPS at launch. I thought the whole point of the ultra stylized gfx was to improve performance in these large raids?
Agreed.
Bladestorms suggestion #4 is your best bet. That helped tremendously for me, and I have a computer with a little bit better specs than the OP.
It is confusing how GW2, ESO, etc. all run fine at Ultra detail on my PC and Wildstar struggles on medium/high settings and looks much worse than the other games. I have full faith that Carbine will optimize the client in the future though.
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

You might think so, but the game still plays very well in BGs and in PvE environments.
I believe the problem is that people with systems like the OPs think because they have a good system, they need to set everything to max settings to enjoy the game. This is not the case for Wildstar, because if you were going to play a game for the graphics you would choose another game to begin with. This game has some, or perhaps the best action combat system I have played on. I would suggest to everyone to just turn back the settings and step away from visual performance for a month or two until the system is tweeked.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Agree, performance is horrible for this game. First one in a long time that I have not been able to play smoothly on ultra-high. And quite honestly, the performance sucks no matter what quality preset Im using. Crap Framerate, to freezing up during gameplay.
It's somewhat good news that Carbine has reached out to AMD (this suggests their internal testing has found the issue, and that it lies with AMD) and that AMD has confirmed new drivers optimized for WS are in the works. Hopefully, everything pans out. That said, I see now OP is using NVidia, so apparently this isn't all in AMD's court...
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
Yea I use an Intel/nVidia system and the game runs poorly. It's not just an AMD/ATI issue.

Bringing view distance right down to 400 or so makes a big difference on any system, you are ofc fundementally rendering far less. - and although initially you feel cheated, actually it doesn't really detract from the game since '400' is pretty far. Even seen some suggestion that you go right down to 0. Its a half full glass of milk time here, reduce settings down to a level where fps is stalbe at a reasonable level (30 is good enough that you can get on with enjoying the game without distractions) and know that you have future optimisations and upgrades to look forward to, where you can gradually unleash the graphics of the game
RE GW2 which i have a lot of respect for they used artistic power instead of processing power, smart, but also bear in mind GW2 has the portals to manage the loading of assets - that a big price to pay (the big negative for me for GW2)
Ive also updated with a couple of other tips that i have found that may smooth things.
