Of bots and nightmares...

Exlcamation: I've played mmo's for over a decade, and..... *ominous music*

Bots are getting in my way now.  I remembor bots, I know bots.  I've dealt with bots over my lifespan in the genre.  But now they are getting to the point of irritating.

 

In ESO they were in every zone stealing my nodes from underground, and now they are in every grounds ensuring my team loses.  I can't take this shit anymore.  I want to enjoy and immerse myself in pve in ESO, bots ruin it. I want to get away from pve grind in Wildstar and pvp, bots ruin it.

 

What is a salty sea dog to do...?!

Playing: Smite, Marvel Heroes
Played: Nexus:Kingdom of the Winds, Everquest, DAoC, Everquest 2, WoW, Matrix Online, Vangaurd, SWG, DDO, EVE, Fallen Earth, LoTRo, CoX, Champions Online, WAR, Darkfall, Mortal Online, Guild Wars, Rift, Tera, Aion, AoC, Gods and Heroes, DCUO, FF14, TSW, SWTOR, GW2, Wildstar, ESO, ArcheAge

    Why start a new post?

    Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    Honestly?  Because I am drunk on my first weekend off after a newborn with a new game and 75% of my bg's in WS had at least bots. So I internerdraged on an old timey website.

    and yes, the bots are a problem, i hope the crew at wildstar will find a way to battle them, i hope its just goldfarmers botting... and not players cheating their way to levels... Now lets kill them all..

    Naw I've been around the block enough to know the two evils.  WS is suffering from a pure bot xp leech in BG's because the xp gain even afk is huge.  ESO was suffering from a bot harvesting leech that was bots and actual players alike. 

     

    I think WS's main issue is that their report spam/bot UI addon isn't working and crashes the main UI.  Love the games, hate the robofarmers.  Time will tell, eh?
