if this combos with the 60 days for new accounts deal, then thats pretty crazy non profit.

I guess they are a really banking on rentention rates with the new custom class system.

but honestly think they should just go full f2p.

Sub model is the best gaming model for the players.  No to f2p.

The recent patch has been named the Jesus patch...it really is a savior...game is amazing now.  I left and swore i'd never come back, but av has pulled through a gem now.

$5 or 5€ will buy you 1 month of subscription. The "buy the game now and get one extra month" deal is over.

 

 

The gam itself has no price since months now you just buy the subscription for 14 something ( 1 month it gets cheaper as more month you subscribe)

Bought it a minute ago.  I've always been interested in Darkfall, just never jumped in.  Could not pass up 5 bucks to try it for a month.

Does the free 30 days start counting down at purchase, or can I buy it now and apply the code/start my month when I want?

You can create your own class which basicly promoted group play by alot. What DF made wonderful in groupcombat was that you could shine with cross healing and so on. Classes restricted that, now yo udont have any classes.

 

 

Ontop of that they removed the Wobble which made your ranged shots RNG. 10 times more fun to PvP now.

 

 

Today they applied a hotfix for the worst bugs that came up after the patch so it is really enjoyable.

i think DF is the only game where valve handels the subscription, if you buy it via steam

Yeah from what I've quickly read, supposedly you can pay the monthly fee with your wallet funds, but you need to use a credit card to purchase the game out-right the first time. Shame, I was looking to grab this, but my full budget is in my Wallet.

This is a no brainer if this your type of game and want to get away from the cartoon mmo games, however being a full blown PvP mmo may steer some players off, but then again, DF is made for a niche crowd of gamer's.

Darkfall is really entering its golden era... Right now, it's better than it's ever been, though it's still got a lot of room for improvement.
