I'm more the un-social type but I can be anti-social when the world gets to me. Sometimes being sociable comes down to either choice or opportunity. There are plenty of times when I'd prefer to socialize with others, as a group of like-minded or goal-oriented people can actually make things more fun (like when playing MMOs). There are other times when the desired or prefered opportunity is not present and I go "unsocial" by default, then pressure occurs from a particular source and aggrivation or irritation occurs switching me into "antisocial" mode because it works against my natural flow.

I don't see unsocial people as being problematic, but I'm sure that we can all agree that antisocial people can be wildly unpredicable when provoked, often times by people wanting them to be more sociable.

    Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?

An interesting topic to discuss though I feel it would be better suited to a new thread and not digressing from this one. Maybe you could start one?

Unsocial and antisocial are too similar in my humble opinion. Reserved is a word I use to describe some people whom I wouldn't consider to be antisocial but are quiet or can take a while to let you into their inner circle.

I'm a virgo and never ever play an apothecary or engineer class, very often play a magic user class but almost never pick earth type magic as the main type.

    So yeah, nope.

To all negetive nancies who are rude: That's fine if you disagree, but your negetive vibes aren't needed. You can have an opinion but be nice. :D

I agree that astrology hasn't been "proven" by science, but that doesn't mean I care or need any scientific validation to understand what i feel to be true. Besides forward thinking never hurt anyone, and all scientific theories were insane before they were proven.

Also the signs themselves are less "shapes" and more "symbols". No Constellation really looks that much like the symbol it represents, and these symbols are created by the effect that the sun has on our consciousness while residing within that constellation. Atoms affect other atoms by being near each other and when in alignments. Planets are no different.

The image of the world you perceive and the sights and sounds are all signals interpreted by your brain; Your ideas, your principles, your memories are all very miniscule in actual size (way beyond microscopic) and are affected by the moon and other planetary bodies gravity.

Others will say memories and thoughts aren't physical, in which case these people MUST believe in a non-physical realm. Of which, science has no place (at least science at it's current capacities)

I don't understand people who cling to science like it is the bible. Nobody has all the answers in the world. If we let science rule us completely we would become the Greys (aliens with big heads and black eyes) eventually. There is a reason we play games, have fun, and that is because we have souls!

Hmmyeah, I'm tempted to get into this, but I won't.

It'll be about as productive as that one long long conversation I once had over voicechat about the illuminati with a guildie who was on unbelievable amounts of pot.

"Reserved" sounds about right. Sometimes I want to be social and take part in a conversation around me, but I settle for waiting on the best opportunity to do so as not to look like a pest that wants to be the center of attention or to talk "just to be talking". I've teamed with more than my fair share of the latter over the years. There are certainly times when "silence is golden".

How about a story? Yes? HOORAY!!!

Years ago when I was playing City of Heroes I was watching a global channel conversation about eggrolls. It went on longer than I expected a discussion of eggrolls to ever last. Restaurant eggrolls, frozen eggrolls, eggrolls by nationality...it kept going. I kept thinking "WTF!?! This is about the dumbest conversation you could have while playing a game". I really wanted to speak my mind and say so...but I couldn't. It was a free channel, there was nothing offensive about what they were saying and I would have been a real ass to say anything negative. So...I said nothing while I sat there fuming. Right about at the tail end of "eggrolls by country" part of the conversation inspiration hit me. I said. "We have eggrolls here in the U.S.. We call them omelets." I got a few "LOL"s and various snickers from the comment and the whole eggroll topic died shortly afterward.

So, yeah. I can be pretty reserved at times and in some cases that's a very good thing. image

I've got a feevah, and the only prescription... is more cowbell.

I would say though that I guess a shaman could be considered a mystic?  I do like playing Shaman or Warrior in WoW
