Im sure if you watched the 2.3 video you saw the july 11-14th was gonna be free play time for previous subscribers who want to come try the game for the weekend....well SE forgot to mention they are delaying it and still have not even made an actual announcement that its being delayed. This was found out after someone started a thread asking about it and thy just got around it to say its delayed:
Saying its a late responce is a bit of an understatement. I was gonna give it shot this weekend to see if anyone i used to play with is still on (and mentioned it to some friends) but thats kind of not gonna happen.
Probably the most appropriate responce ive seen:
"And you guys decided to wait the weekend OF to TELL US THIS??
What the fluff? Why wait so last minute- and as a board response no less- to talk about this?!
Ive been telling everyone I know who has the game, but left, about it, and we've been planning a FB event for this since the video released.
Please use your social networks for these sorts of things- that's what they are there for. This should have been annonced atleast a day after patch released...."
sorry to spread the bad news, though im sure this was a good idea with how much i see people on the official forums saying this patch has quite a bit of issues, perticularly with Hunts being a mess and Frontline delays being pretty bad (and the new chocobo raising being nothing more than a cutscene it seems).

Well that's a bummer. Patched up and stuff since I havent played since 2.1 (even though I enjoyed the game). Well I guess it's better than having bugs and stuff when we do get out free weekend.
Well it's a pity they are delaying it but I wasn't even aware anything like that was going on.
I have been in a nostalgic mood and played FF Theatrythm and FF Crystal Bearers all day yesterday, so I wouldn't mind hopping on 14 and see what has changed as well.

Who has time for MMOs anyway during the weekend of the last 2 matches of the championship?
Japan didn't take that into consideration cause their team was annihilated early.
Seeing it like that, this delay is actually a good thing.
