Started playing alot of age of conan again recently and noticed that the veteran players and guilds are noware to be found..

Has there been some huge exodus or something?

I mean the population was low before but you still had nice little communities. Now, you cant even find a guild that has 3+ people on at a time.

Sounds about right. The game was the same way about 6 months ago the last time I logged on. I think I found 2 people in about 4 hours of play before I logged off and uninstalled again.

Sad, this game was going to be huge I thought.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it

I think the only thing that kept people hanging on was the fact that it was one of the only "half way" open world pvp/pve games on the market while still being somewhat like a themepark, kinda had a little bit of everything ya know. Though now that Archeage has roughly launched (not really but closed beta just kicked in) I imagine most of the players have gone there.

The only thing AoC has going for it anymore is the combat and the fatalities which are both still fantastic and unique. They should just make the whole game soloable and it would probably do better, honestly, you know, like make the whole game like Tortage....

Don't have time to raid or do group instances or engage in guild activities anymore myself, but I would definitely go back if I knew I could solo the group dungeons and possibly cut off someones head or get into a pk entanglement while doing so.

Crom server is still has a good population. Fury pvp server has changed alot last 6months. There is still hope for this game. T5 raid tier is comming now, and  is on testlive. The crating revamp is getting close, and will be realesed this fall. I play it everyday and its still possible to have fun. I hope that many vets come back With the New raid tier. Many good changes to pvp latly also.  We lost a lot of players to TESO and Archage I suppose:(

Since writing my OP i have actually made a lot of new friends and had alot of fun. Huh funny the way things turn out if you stick with them.

The population is much thinner than i remember yet new blood seems to come through all the time on new player help and guild recruitment. Old Guilds are gone, More casual orientated guilds replace them and raids are now essentially pugged.

Having said that i actually subbed. How long for i don't know.
