I'm liking the game. It has a Borderlands feel to it, but with a different twist. It's definitely more fun to me than Defiance and feels a lot more fleshed out.
I'm playing this one super casually as my main plays right now are LotRO, EQ2, and Marvel Heroes. But it's still fun to pop in and run a couple missions or help out in group areas. Engineer is still as fun as ever.
Which Engineer class did you go with?
My buddy is running one as well and says he is having a blast.
Too many "BF's to choose from and stick with. A class-a-holic game!
Which of the 5 Battleframes do you plan on playing first in Firefall?

This coming weekend, there will be a 25% XP boost for Engineer battleframes so it's definitely a good time to take one for a spin.
I'm absolutely loving my Recluse frame but the Engineer frames look very cool to play.
Originally posted by romaguilarmel as a noob, what's the best class to play if you are used to sniper - style gameplay? have yet to try but very much interested in playing.
You can roll a 'Recon' class at the get go, unless you drop $ into the advanced Battleframes in the beginning.
I know folks that roll the Raptor (Advance BF) as a support and absolutely love it, however I saw someone playing the Nighthawk (Adv BF) and was simply awesome with the bolt action rifle (PvE). Just how good are the 3 in the PvP action (that I don't know).
Just remember, they were low levels as well, so I don't know a lot about the good with the bad on any 3 of the classes, but seeing them play in their early level 30's (PvE) was pretty amazing.

the biggest difference between the 3 are their weapons.
The raptors charge rife only does full damage once you zoom, let it charge, then fire. It's play style is much more sit back and snipe. It's power field ability is probably one of the best group buffs.
The nighthawk is much more stealth, run and gun. It's fast zoom and shoot ability coupled with it's stealth skills are better suited to moving around and flanking. It's actually pretty deadly in melee of all things.
The recon is sort of a jack of all master of none like all accord frames. It's r-36 assault rifle is awesome ( many nighthawks switch to it instead of the bolt action ) and it has some ok abilities like decoy.
The main reason you want to lvl accord frames is to unlock the perks and get the free pilot tokens. none of them are better than the advanced frames but they're not useless either.
Originally posted by rtsanders biotech here and im planning to go recluse! anyone can point me the difference with Recluse and Dragonfly
Recluse is a poison based damage over time build. Dragonfly is a support/heal for front line troops.
Healing in Firefall is essentially a secondary skill for the Biotech and Dragonfly. You can't play a healer in Firefall. You play a DPS that can occasionally heal others but not yourself.

nice links!
been playing the Dragonfly as my main and never saw these videos before
* guess it always help for me to go to their you tube channel.. lol
Nice links. Subscribed to their Youtube channel now, hehe.
I like how they do their Battleframe videos to promote each. I now get a bigger idea of the other frames other than my Engineer and Dreadnaught.
Keeping these links for reference! awesome!
Useful stuff, thank you!
thanks for the links. Was looking for videos for this game. When did this launch? (sorry noob here)
Yeah, subscribed to them already. I now need to hook-up with new folks to play with on Firefall, so I hope y'all don't mind if I bug some of you.
