Just bought the 50 pound Beta

in Elite: Dangerous
Just bought it. Currently downloading. My wife was like: ( i didnt tell her. Shes noticed i am putting my card details on the website ) "No! Buy nappies for the kid!!! Some food for the family!!!". I was like: "Those things are cheap and ive got friends i can borrow a tenner from!" :) If its not gonna work for me im gonna sue u all "hype-creators"!!! :)

    Its supposed to be sarcastic :) I follow this game for at least 6 months and my point was its worth (IMHO) every penny :)

    As long as your Wife agree's with you then, you should be fine. Personally i will be waiting until the games release before buying, i am way past the stage of where i am prepared to pay to beta, and my wife isn't that understanding either image

    Well she agrees. She knew how geek i am from the day we started our relationship. I did preorder games in the past and most of them actually were failures (i quit them 2 weeks after head-starts). I am pretty certain of this one though. :)

    Honestly, it is a game i will be buying, of that i have absolutely no doubt whatsoever, its just i am no longer buying 'beta' games, and i am patient enough that i am willing to wait for the game to release as a finished version before i do buy it. One of the issues with Beta versions after all, is their usually unfinished state, and the possibility of burning out on an unfinished game that might spoil my gaming experience when it is eventually released as a finished product. But i have owned/played every single Elite game that came out, and i don't think the next one will change that image
