What was the official number released from ZOS again?  I can't remember.

They have never released numbers and likely never will since they do not have to like many others do. I think he is talking about the estimate that was floating around. I can't recall the number as I didn't give it much stock.

800,000 subs was the number. Here's the link

So far, a subscriber base of 772,374 (June)

    Which is estimated...

I am sure you realise there is no official sub number? And that the posts you responded to were tongue in cheek.

And the source you linked totally missed WoW losing 800k subs - a non-trivial drop. Maybe Activision Blizzard didn't pass the data on to them - which would have been illegal but that's another story - or maybe ..... the number was a guess. Whodathunkit.

Until ZoS give out actual numbers we don't know. The only actual number we have is how many people are playing on Steam - just over 1k usually, peak of 3k when it released (on Steam).

suckers still play this trash, lol...  I can only imagine how dead the PvP zones are these days.  I mean besides sorcs and their garbage teleport out of combat spell.

Well I guess you could say they missed it... They are a market analysis firm after all. They could have taken those 2013 revenue and market share numbers and predicted WoWs 2014 2nd qt loss of 800 subs? It does appear Blizzard did not pass their 2014 2nd quarter numbers on to them at the time either... You are right again? As far as legalities....nvmimage

ESO is moving in the right direction...

Loved the game at first but found some of its core designs a chore that they are now adressing.

I will surely go back and finally level my toon once all these patches are live :)

IMO this update is fluff to placate the user base until they release concrete balances/fixes as well as content.

    Not a fan of:

-Joining 4-5 trading guilds and posting items on 4-5 different auction houses (AH alternative could have been better implemented)

-Stamina users got the shaft in a game where 80% of the abilities are all Magika based

-Limited abilities for usage and the requirements for weapon swapping (instead of giving you the option for 2 skill bars they recommend wielding a copy of the same weapon type and swap to it for access to a second bar of abilities)

-Time trials for end game content? What happened to having challenging content where actually completing/clearing the place was an achievement in and of itself.

    -Garbage gear rewards

-Seperation of the population in VR zones vs their identical copy of leveling zones.

The game is still gorgeous, I took 1000s of screenshots and I had fun till about VR8 (on two chars) but I reached a point of quest overload (forcing people to play through all the factions is like making people play through Alliance story after completing horde). Also the end game zone just felt like bleh just another zone. There has been a lot more talk about the future of ESO than changes to the game itself. Time will tell.

PvP is a big part of ESO, the heart of the game world and game imo. It's what I did. I haven't done the other faction quest. Since 1.2 (2-3 months ago) you can also go to Craglorn to quest/grind there your way to v12. Back before 1.2 I felt just like you about doing other factions quest, me and a lot of others. ZOS heard us, and fixed it.

Raptr reports 573,484 members of the ESO "community", since most in a community have the game installed... In any case, who the fuck still uses steam outside of their Linux Distro?

    Playing: Secret World: Legends

Waiting for: Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen
