Hack n Slash mmorpg?

Are there any games that are kind of like Diablo ( overhead camera ) on the horizon? I'm excitedly waiting for Lineage Eternal, but that's about it. I am really a fan of the old school over the top camera as well as roleplaying and want to find a game and get some people together to play/rp and have an adventure.
Lately I've enjoyed SWTOR, GW 2 and even Neverwinter much to my surprise but I really just miss click-to-move and simplified hack n slash combat.
I am not really LFGame but more just looking to see if anyone feels the same way? Albion Online looks like what I want except its not close to release...so yes.
Help! Discuss! Adventure?

Path of Exile is a Diablo clone... er uhm I mean it is slightly like Diablo. I can't tell you much about it, as I hate top down games with the burning passion of a thousand suns.

On the horizon, not so much.
Already out ... many ....
1) The aforementioned PoE ... not as polished as D3, but has its own charm
2) Marvel Heroes ... Diablo in the marvel world
3) Torchlight 1 & 2 ... more cartoony than D3, but lots of people like it.
4) Incredible Adv of Van Helsing 1 & 2 .. this one i recommend. Steampunk, quirky cool NPC. Good polish for an indie.
5) Sacred 3 .. just came out .. more actiony, and less meta than D3.
6) Grim Dawn ... bloodier ... is this one out yet?
Aside from MH, none is a "proper" MMO, of course. But close enough (for me).
Ultima Online is your best bet.

...if you don't think UO fits into that, then....ya.....
I love UO, I am just looking for something a little newer. I don't like AAA rpg's as of late but I think that is simply due to the visual style.
Also Lineage Eternal honestly looks amazing but from what I've gathered Korean beta is in Winter 2014...so we shouldn't expect this in NA for a whileee.
Maybe someday soon someone kickstarts something like what I am looking for. That appears to be the only hope.

Even though the OP described UO to a T in his OP, you are right. Even though the OP has since stated that UO is exactly what he is looking for, though a newer version of it, you are still right. Even though his entire OP describes everything about UO, and only mentions "HACK AND SLASH" once, he only wants a "HACK AND SLASH" as you say....

My "Dream" game would be a Hack-N-Slash Star Wars MMO. Pretty much a top-view version of Star Wars Galaxies, but with endless amounts of Diablo-like combat and randomized item statistic loot.
ARGH! It sucks yearning for something that will never happen.
I don't think SWG's crafting and non-combat stuff fit very well into a combat-centric, loot-focus Diablo-type game.
However, i will certainly play a Diablo-ish game in the SW setting. It is not easy to do well though. It is all in the combat mechanics + skill system design (to have good meta), and loot design.
Not an MMO nor a Diablo clone, but you could check out Divinity: Original Sin. It's a proper old-school RPG with similarities to Baldur's Gate and the Ultima series.

The guy is asking for a TRUE MMO not some lobby based diablo clone or some cheesy Asian MMO with big swords and retina burning effects. But a game in the true style of a top down RPG with the play style of Diablo in a fully persistent MMO framework not some lobby game.
Somebody was close in saying UO but that isn't really in the style of a true hack and slash but boy if it was then that would be the game, just update the graphics.
I honestly cant think of one.
You say you're looking for a game like Diablo and I immediately think "PATH OF EXILE!!!"
But then you say you're into like the rpg elements and just grouping up and going on an adventure and my mind says "ULTIMA ONLINE!!!"
If you're looking for combat over adventure/rp, then I suggest PoE. If you're more into the adventure and persistent world element, then I'd say UO. By the way, it doesn't have to be official UO servers
