Quake Live coming to Steam

For anyone who was or is a fan of the Quake style of FPS gaming, Quake Live is coming to Steam within a couple of months.  It will be - and is right now - free to play, with a premium and pro sub options.  The sub options are simply extra options for joining premium/pro servers and starting new servers. 

For anyone who played Quake 3 Arena, Quake Live is basically a centralized version of the same game.  You play on or spawn servers through the downloadable game at www.quakelive.com.  The expanding of the game into Steam is to reach newer players, and is likely to see a large increase in the player base. 

For anyone who enjoys fast paced FPS action, with a variety of weapons and game types, this is a fantastic, easy to play option!  I've played Quake since around 1999 through now, and I still enjoy jumping into a FFA server for a quick game on my lunch break, or playing some epic Capture the Flag or attempting to dominate some other types . 

Anyway, just wanted to spread a little bit of word here in case there are some who would enjoy trying it out.  Cheers!

Quake Live is the browser Quake, right? I didn't know there's a client version of that. Thanks for this news. woooot!
