I don't join guilds, I tend to be a lone ranger, I do like crafting, I do like playing the market, I don't like forced PVP and ganking, I like building and gathering, I like large open worlds, will there be a place in AA for me?
I'm currently downloading the client to try OB but thought it would be worth asking.

Maybe, if:
- You are a Patron.
- Casual Player, playing around 2, 3h a day.
- Dont mind slow progression, you can stay forever in safe zones.
- You dont like Sailing.
- You are lucky to place your(s) farm in safe zones.
Ok, thanks! Yes, I would be a patron.
Are casual players looked down there? Or can "we" have a good time there too?
Because I'll never play more then 3h a day, unless I'm on vacation, alone, and out of cash...

That is really the best thing you can do. And since the game has a F2P option, you can further test it out at no loss to yourself once it officially launches.
Well OP it seems you saw the forest for the trees. There is a lot of potential with this game and I felt it too. I am more concerned with finding a nice plot of land for my farms than I am the LP P2W argument. Come Friday I will try my hardest to lock that in over the headstart.
I think Archeage sounds like the game for you other than the PvP aspect which isn't impossible to mostly avoid. You will certainly encounter it from time to time though.
I am planning on being an anti-griefer mercenary. helping guildies do Trade Runs and build homes, even if I fail at least I know I died doing the right thing. If I succeed hopefully they tip . I usually PvP in MMOs but rarely craft so this is going to be an interesting change of pace for me.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
I enjoy Archeage and will play it and invest money into it however I do have 1 concern with the game. Since it IS a PvP focused game, what is the goal for endgame in it... typically most MMO's have somewhat of an endgame with dungeons, raids, things to work towards with the neverending carrot. Archeage after playing the Alpha for awhile and experiencing the game, I feel with it being mainly PvP, it has no real end game focus to it. Yes, theres castles and pvp at 50 but what is it your trying to achieve? At least in PvE focused games, you have goals and things to achieve. In Archeage, I feel it doesnt really have an "identity" as to what the focus is at 50 and what to strive for. I played my 50 on Alpha for awhile and yes, I did farm, trade runs, pvp,etc etc etc but all for what? It felt like it had no "goal" to any of it.
This is what I am confused about with Archeage, while it is a very good, very fun game, what identity does it have at max lvl... I just dont know.
I get that feeling as well, but there is still a lot of possibility with the PvP continent that for the most part remains unexplorable. I saw a video from Korea about "the future" of AA and it appeared to have a lot of extra content than the western version. I would say that the game is slightly unfinished in the west right now.
I would say the endgame right now is how much wealth, materials, houses, and gear you can flaunt around like a boss.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
OP I would like to add to this topic. I have noticed that in every thread made by people looking to try AA out, that there are some. That mention that AA is a grouping game, and is unfriendly to solo players. That is absolutely untrue, I spent my days in OB soloing as well as many others and had a blast just doing whatever I wanted. People are stuck in the mindset that you need to be in groups with others to enjoy these games, when that is not true at all.
There are some aspects of AA were you will want to group, such as certain quests were you have to kill a certain mob, areas that are at war, doing dungeons, and doing trade runs to the opposite continent. In a nutshell AA is the type of mmo that lets you play how you want, not how others want you to play. I had reservations about this game myself and really didn't follow it due to the open world pvp aspect. However being able to do what I want when I want was a big draw for me, and you don't really lose anything in pvp aside from a trade pack if you are carrying one. There are also ways and tricks to avoid that as well.
