Personally, I like the Tt eSports line.

I use the Logitech G510.  Suits my needs, good backlights (customisable colours), keys are sturdy and responsive, and apart from the function keys there are 18 other programmable keys.  All the other features you would expect to see on a keyboard are there too (multimedia, volume etc).

It's all personal preference it would be best if you could try them out at a store. But I believe most gaming keyboards come with Red by default.

Best would probably be Logitech then other good brands would be Corsair, Rosewill, and Razer(Best Buy, Walmart, and other major retailers should have Razer.)

Both Corsair and Rosewill are usually VERY good for their price, this is in regards to everything they make not just Keyboards.

In regards to the keys all the colours signify is tension ,AKA how much force to press the keys and feedback they provide, hence it being a matter of preference.

I see, so there is no other way but to test the keyboard and see what fits for me. Thank you

The key things for a keyboard are what special features you need (if any) and how comfortable the keyboard is to you.  The latter is a matter of opinion, and the former is nearly so.  For most people, I'd recommend getting a $20 keyboard and putting the money that could have been spent on a higher end keyboard elsewhere.

If you would like to try a keyboard out. Fry's usually has a wide selection of gaming keyboards from low end to top shelf for you to try. If there is a Fry's near you I highly recommend them.

I'm still using a Logitech G110 that a friend gave me years ago. Works great and can change the key colors to any color that you want. Also has macros, USB input/output, can plug mic/headphones into it as well. Bought a Nvidia GTX 760 with the money I saved from not having to buy a keyboard.

I've tried everything from very expensive to cheap, and I find that I don't use most of the capabilties of the expensive ones.  A relatively cheap one is what I would recommend unless you are into programming keys and such.

Keyboard, along with Mouse and Monitor - are more about what feels good and comfortable for you to use. These peripherals are how you interact with your computer, and I claim they are more important than your actual hardware, because this is how ~you~ interact with the computer - and if it's not right, it can make ~you~ uncomfortable, and in extreme cases even damage ~you~.

If a $20 keyboard is all you need - great. But I wouldn't call you silly or stupid if you went out and bought a $250 keyboard either just because it felt more comfortable to use. I mean, if you think about how long your actually planning on sitting in front of this computer, and divided the cost of your peripherals by that number of hours/days... If your using that keyboard 4+ hours a day, the cost really is inconsequential compared to how much it could save wear and tear on your wrists (or endurance/accuracy in your typing/gaming, if you wanna think about it that way).

So the TL;DR here is - go try some out. I used to be a fan of the $20 keyboards, then I wanted the LCD on the Logitech series... the keyboard was fine but the LCD turned out to be less useful than I thought (although I did like the programmable macro keys on occasion - I didn't need 18 of them, 5-6 was enough for me and $100+ was steep for that level of functionality). I went to a G710 recently, and the MX Cherry Browns in that are a world of difference for me, and it's hard for me to go back to the G19 anymore, it feels like I'm typing in mush.

I'm still using my old Dell mechanical keyboard which does the job pretty well.

Imho.. your better off getting a good gaming-mouse.

I've been using a Steel Series Merc Stealth keyboard for about 4 years now. I just looked, and Amazon has them for about $190. I'm surprised, since I don't remember paying that much for it.

It's got a WASD arrow pad on the left which I find invaluable. It also has raised keys and numbered keys around the arrows which I find slick.

It seems like SS isn't making them anymore (or at least I don't see it on their website) which is a shame.

Have the same keyboard and it cost a lot less for sure when I got it as well. Think it's so expensive because there are only a few left, they are not being made anymore. No idea why, since it has the best setup for gaming, as far as I'm concerned.

If you have the chance to try one out, somewhere, you could also try a gameboard, like the logitech G13.

If you try out a $250 keyboard and try some $20 keyboards and say, yes, this $250 keyboard is definitely more comfortable for you, then sure.  But don't buy a $250 keyboard that you've never used just on the basis that if it's expensive it must be good.

Red and Black Cherry switches are pretty much the same thing. They don't make a clicking sound, and they don't have a noticable bump when they have been pressed. The difference between Red and Black is that Red has a shorter distance before it registers a key. This means you don't need to press the key hard to activate it, but it can result in more typos.

I'm using a Corsair K95 for the past few months up from a Logitech G19 and I prefer the K95 mechanical keys.

Thank you all for your wonderful advice and suggestions. Now i am quite confused on what brand and model should i get. But i made up my mind that i will go for brown keys instead of the keys that i planned to buy before.

Things im considering now before buying.

    1. Brown Switch
    2. Cost 100$ or less (budget is now less since i bought a new VC)
    3. With additional programmable keys (for MMO)
    4. With backlight (Optional)
    5. With numpad (because some i saw from internet doesn't have numpad)
    6. High durability (I probably using it for more than 6 hours a day)
    7. Not razer (because my friend told me that it is not good to buy razer because of his own experience)

Well, I would say twice that amount if you find something comfy, but then again is my keyboard worth $20.

I put far more on my trackball, a good mouse or trackball makes far more difference when you game.

Most by far I put on my graphics card, if I die in games it shouldn't be because my computer lags. :)
