I average around 1 email every other day to billing or support and I have gotten no replies from anyone. Should I post my sent folder picture and inbox pictures? Pretty soon my sent folder is going to be nothing but support/billing emails that have not been answered.

Now see for yourself!!! If u have 25 reasons not to recommend this game , I have 6 Changes & 26 Bug Fixes for you to see that RYL: PotE is also a good game..

    CHANGES:
    1. Whenever a player dies from a monster, they will loose some exp. The player will also loose 20% of durability of all gear that the player is wearing. Whenever any player respawns with a resurrection, they will not loose any durability.
    2. When a player chooses to respawn in town, HP/MP will be at 25% with G-mode on.
    3. When a player respawns with the resurrection skill, HP/MP will be at 75% with No G-mode.
    4. If a player chooses to respawn in their Guild Fortress, HP/MP will be at 50% with G-mode on.
    5. Shields are now useable by the Priest, Cleric, Defender, and Acolyte classes.
    6. You can now purchase the Stone of Oblivion item from 1 NPC on Almighty Ground.

I love how you respond 15 days after this thread died.

A few things rookie (Im replying to each of your numbers):

    1) This was always the case. After level 4 you lost 3% exp to next level. You lost less when you were revived. (That is right, an increase in the death penalty is what this guy is babbling about)
    2) Ok, and how is this usefull to unguilded players and low level characters in Pirate's Buff? Seems to me they added godmode simply because enough people kept complaining about "Spawnkilling."
    3) Seems pretty basic. Ressurection unless highly advanced doesnt restore full HP/MP in games.
    4) Which means squat since a person can respawn in their guild fortress after they die trying to prevent their fortress from getting destroyed, meaning a player on the defending guild can die 10 times and respawn there, giving the defending team an overwhelming advantage + god mode.
    5) Wonderful....More items that gives more of an advantage to human classes in PVP.
    6) Of course this was added by the PWG because people were selling SoE for around 750K when I stopped playing the game and someone told me on MSN that he had seen them being sold for 1.25 million.

So far you haven't really stated anything decent worthy of PVP.

Now, As far as PvP goes....RYL will never be as worthy as other games in PvP, simply because the version is the NA version...Meaning its for North America Only.....This means that it fails to include the rest of the world intentionally....when everyone knows that "Its not PvP unless you include the Koreans as well as the rest of the world"

If you believe that NA is the only continent in this world....Go and play this game and deal with the bugs and unoptimized code to this game.

If You believe that there is more to the world than North America. Play any other MMORPG. Most of them are not afraid to include the rest of the world in their PvP.

That's a false statement. Although you are right in saying that this game is the North American version, it is by no means limited to North American players. First of all, there are people from all over the world playing this game, including a guildmate of mine who's from Estonia image. So by your terms, I guess you can play RYL:PoTE also since they are not afraid to include the rest of the world either. In relation to the 1 million dollar tournament, PWG says they included every country which they were able to include according to the laws and the restrictions that come with such laws. As of right now, the countries included in this one million dollar tournament are United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, and India. I believe they are also working to include more. Please get your facts straight before slamming a game for false reasons.

egamerx is right on that statement. setsunayaki, you left before PwG made changes to the tournament rules, but PwG arent handling things well right now and it feels like its only getting worse in time, i think im starting to finally see your side of the story a little better.

    Actually... I tried RYL.

It's sort of Like a Lineage 2 knock-off (not saying it IS L2 but has similiar gameplay.. heavy grind sort of similiar graphics but L2's are more polishe, etc)

Quite frankly the game seems weird to me. And by that, I mean, it not only doesn't seem finished, it seems like somebody said "hey... let's make a game" and they forgot to then add a variety of things.

The characters are clunky, the graphics are clunky...

When I sign into L2 or Guild Wars I get the feeling of substantial polish

RYL seems like a Beta of a game.

The controls seem overly complicated... it really wasn't for me.

I tried RYL: POTE version, and while that already predisposes me to a perspective that relatively agrees to some of those points, I only have a few things to say here.

    1.  In reference to WoW, it has 276 files.  (Just being helpfully informative)

    2.  I wish another more reputable and trustworthy company was doing something as large, cool, and spectacular as holding a million dollar PvP torunament, or any generalized game skill tournament.

The gameplay was noteworthy in its addictive quality in the same way that I enjoyed RO's combat mechanics.  But, the absolute necessity of partying with *TEN* people kills any potential the game had.

    That is all.  image

My class was hella overpowered, I could kill multiple people at a time because my weapon buff allowed me to kill stuff and PL myself with stuff 11 levels above me.

There are at least 8 useless classes'

    Only 2 races

    LAGGY AS HELL

It was sorta fun leveling though

grouping on the other hand is horrible

    The spawn rate is good

Any class can be a good pve character but go to the second map and expect to die upon arrival

People think it's fun to pretend your a monster. Me I spend my life pretending I'm not. - Dexter Morgan

anyway guys....good to hear those stuff from u guys...its nice to hear that there are still people who play ryl....does anyone of u joined the tournament??it started last july 1..

dont u dare start playing MMORPG unless u want to be hooked

Im not sure why I read everything,.think It took me an hour,Im to beat to play games so im here reading,.

Alot of the 25 points are right,I put around 60 hours into this game, and its really not all that great.

The fact A GM told you to F off,..umm not sure about that,.I hate the game but the Staff had been vary nice to me when I need'd somthing..

They change the rules? Yes they do.,

Boring? the same as every other RPG? ummm nooo.. the fact RYL is boring,.is Its to simple of a game, and the characters are vary unbalanced.your forced to grind lvl's in a ladder system of monsters.the map is small, and after a few days you allmost seen it all..

As far as Guild wars,..Its alot better. 3 good reasons..

    1) Guild wars: has Vary balanced PVP,.if someone or a guild makes a godly combo of skills and characters,.it only seems to last 1-3 weeks,.then everyone builds to anti it,.if you play GW you will know spike teams are starting to not work anymore..

    1) RYL: this is not the case, there is no way around the cookie cutter builds, theres a few things that work best an thats it,.if your not one of them you dont do well.its sad,the gameplay an pvp has a good feel to it,but it sucks to know you have to just make a solid build (not mixed) and everyone has it,.better off playing a FPS,theres no grinding.

    2) Guild wars:The non pvp game play is alot of fun,.playing out the story line is intresting.and tons of quests an items to unlock that can keep you busy for a vary long time...

    2) RYL: Vary poor storyline,in fact what story line? if it was intresting I might know about it,.and the lack of quests in RYL is killing the game I think. And yes I was having fun with the quests,.did them all up to lvl60 in 1 hour..kinda lame.

    3) Guild wars has a grind like any game,.But ! you can take what you have and use it over an over,.just think,if are able to take your lvl 95 archer and change him around at will to what ever combo you want,.and any item you may have found, you can mix an match when ever you want.

    3) RYL insaine grind,.just crazy..its to the point where,.when your done grinding to pvp,.you will probly be so sick of the game pvp will be short lived..

All I can say is,. If you have not played RYL or Guild wars,.you need to play RYL 14 day trail,. then go buy guild wars when or IF you dont like RYL anymore,.Guild wars is cheap at 40$.

If you play RYL and are vary skilled at PVP in that game,.come to GW.Its a much better game for your skill lvl as a PVP player. If you just like to gank low lvls with your max lvl with the idea your god,.then you better stay in RYL,.Guild wars pvp will make you run home crying..

Note: Im about to fall a sleep, probly typo's all over the place,so ya hope it was Clear an easy to read.

although i disagree with some of shinami's points, the grind of RYL is just too much and the servers are dying away, so im playing Guild Wars now like everyone else.

RYL is quite fun once u get into it, but the insanely stupid and long grind with no/little RP in an MMORPG is just way overboard.

    Ryl1 is great fun.

I dont mind if it has 1.000.000.000 files and only 1 server running, if it is great fun.
I dont mind if graphics are not as polished or i cannot set the graphics to 2800x 2000 pixels if it is great fun.

I played Ryl1 in closed beta and open beta Malaysia and in the North American Beta.

Every time it was great fun.

Unfortunately in the American Beta some Guides started cheating with the help of GMs.
I had a Lvl73 priest, just one level behind the "leading" Sorcerer and quit from one day to the other.

Now after some month of WoW, which is ultimately polished, nice Graphics and very few files (haha) im so bored by this game (WoW), that I started a RYL1 character on a very laggy Malaysian server.

Even without quests, no crafting, very few skills and comparable crappy graphics its more fun than WoW.

Unfortunately Ryl2 (Path of the Emporer) is very crappy, betrayed a lot of the original concepts and is definately not worth paying _any_ money at all.

There is no right or wrong -
There is only fun and boring.

The game you praise called guild wars sux for me, do you know why? i dont have 25 reason, i only have 1, its bec you are only 8 person out of city and you dont see any players, i got bored of playing alone with stupid bots, if you are a necromancer, its hard to find ppl bec many noob necromancers around image i prefer ryl instead bec you can make friends like you said you need healers for melee party so make 10 friends who is online with you then you can rock in the game... And yes you are right about community of ryl, they must be more careful about some stuff but with keybord mode and jumping ryl has the best game play whatever game is like...

Have you checked out RYL: Path of the Emperor lately? We've gone to great lengths to change / add content so that the feel of the game is geared more towards what many of you started playing RYL for.

We're also working on our next major patch that should really excite MANY people.

Hmm, I quit the game becuase it was rediculous to find groups.

For a game dedicated to group combat I don't know why it is soo Hard to find a group.

I did really like the game till about lvl 60. The game became such a grind.

It did have nice graphics, even though it looked like the monsters were siezing when you attacked. Like the graphic reset each time it was hit.

Ah, and not being albe to outrun an archer or gunner or catch up to them and fight. Kinda unfair advantage. None would come within hitting range of my CON warrior. or STR warrior.

OH well, wish I din't pay money for the game. I only played it for a month. Maybe if I had a fort to defend it would be more fun, but the grind to get big enough to defend it would be a waste.

I hate to belittle a game which was given to me for free, but I have one good reason not to play this game:

    IT SUCKS!

Want me to expand?  The graphics are horrible, the interface is completely useless, the world maps and content are devoid of any imagination, the loot system is uninspiring, the skill system is useless, the upgrade system is ungainly, the group dynamic is pathetic, the pvp system is uninteresting...
