Right now its about 3k people trying to log in (2.5k being patrons) on the Kyrios server. The queue time is about 1 hour or so.
I was able to get on earlier and play for about 30 minutes. It is pretty rough with the amount of people trying to kill the same mobs. I am hoping that its like the first day of college traffic where everyone is at school, and a week later its just fine.
Don't worry man. They intentionally kept the amount of servers low so they could release new servers at the full launch and completely negate your headstart bonus by letting all the people who didn't support them (by buying a founder's pack) to play on completely fresh servers.

It's all good.
Yes, because Trion is an evil company and they would love nothing more than to stick it to their founders *rolls eyes*
Well, yeah this one is worse. I'm not trying to log in, I'm trying to download the damn game. Trion is so insistent that the problem is with my connection but i play every other game just fine. Glyph is the problem.
It is understood that many players are upset for various reasons but the game just launched. It was a given that there would be many problems. I intentionally waited out this head start for this very reason. This can't be the first rodeo for all of you.

Ok, question.... How in the hell can only 2.5k of the 3k traffic jam be patrons when it's head start for the PATRONS ONLY?????
Just because the queue system is misidentifying account status doesn't mean non patrons are getting to log in.
Trion says that didnt need more servers but a founder friend says is in a queue of 1h, really?
Every server has a queue of 1000+ players - the really popular servers are worse (Kyrios and Ollo have several thousand in queues).
I haven't checked in the last hour or so but its gonna be worse probably.
I think they might need to open more servers.
I played for 4 hours earlier - no issues, no kicks the guildies are still going strong - been playing for almost 8 hours now - plots boats and houses are all moving along nicely.
The staring areas were PACKED when I logged on at server start but it was smooth - again no issues so far that I or my guild can report - other than queues.
Trion say its no need for more servers, this is only about Founders players, they need to open more servers imo.
I guess no one at Trion has heard the term 'capacity planning' before. Maybe their calculator broke when someone was trying to figure out how many people were patrons and were likely to log into the game on a Friday night.
Last thing you want to do as a developer is open too many servers and have to server merge in 3 months. It is a given that it is going to be rough going for the first few days to a week but things will settle down. As bad as it sounds, Trion has to resist the temptation to open more servers until it is absolutely necessary. Long queue's a few days after the 'official' release date should be expected. Panicking and adding servers before an honest and educated assessment lasting a few days can prove disastrous for the long term health of the game.

I agree with you in some point, but more then 1h queue is to much imo, i still belieave its necessary more servers. If the queue was 20 - 30mins i think was ok, but 2h ?? For me it means servers are not enouph, even thinking in servers merge in a close future.
Just checked Anzazeb or whatever the server is and the queue was only about 30 people... my character is on Kyrios which is defintely at 2800+ queued atm.
Played fine when i first logged in at launch time and fortunately got a small scarecrow and my cottage down in key spots... but then i crashed to desktop... waited 1.5 hours to get back in and played again for 5 minutes before it crashed again w/o an error report. Seems the problem has persisted since april looking at forums threads... pretty bummed.

Its not so much that the servers are full, its just that everyone is still bunched up in the starter areas. The population needs to spread out throughout the servers and once that is done the stress will be relieved and queues will disappear. No way Trion has the information yet to be able to gauge whether additional servers are need. It is much too soon. An educated assessment can not be made until several days after the official release date.
To compound the matter players are already starting to complain that there is no land to plunk down their farms. What they really mean is that there isn't any prime land but you can't tell them otherwise. No doubt its going to be rough going for Trion but they need to stick to their guns or they will ruin their long term viability in exchange for satiating the masses now. Masses who will no doubt turn their back on the game as soon as the next title is released leaving servers empty and players screaming for mergers.

The reason Aranzeb is light is because people were avoiding that server thinking Oran Thull, a zerg guild, was going to be there. Apparently, Oran Thull got a little soft at the last minute and decided to deploy to Tahyang, the RP server of all servers. Why they did that after talking all that smack is quite petty but I won't get into that here. RPers are already complaining that OT guild members are jumping quest lines, ninja looting, and just being an overall nuisance, to say the least. Suffice it to say that Tahyang is down the gutter. Should be interesting to see how things play out.

It's head start. Everyone trying to log in is a patron.
Got my house and small farm down on Ollo.
Lag wasn't a problem, the only thing that slowed me down was 70 people trying to advance one link of the main story quest line at one point.

How is the queue atm?
Trion says that didnt need more servers but a founder friend says is in a queue of 1h, really?
It's 2 hrs and 40 mins on Kyrios...:(
, is Trion joking with paying customers?

Once you actually get logged in, you are waited to hour long line up's, to get quests done...lol
At least everyone is polite, and waiting for their turn.
wow, the polite part is amazing to know. Last time i saw this was in L2

Gotta love that "Sandbox" /sarcasm

The number of servers is fine I think. Better to have queues today than empty servers tomorrow.
