Guys I just bought the game and while selecting a mission i noticed is says Strike team 1-3
Now is a strike team a dungeon or is that just want Bungie calls a 3 man group?
I also wanted to know how soloable the Strikes (dungeons i guess) and hard missions are?
Im normally just a PC guy so i know no one on PS so i figured ill play solo until i cant and stop playing. How limited will i be? I assume i wont be able to do the "raids" but what about everything else?
Playing: Nothing
Looking forward to: Nothing

Headline question: yes you can solo in Destiny - with most reviewers (the more extensive ones anyway) considering the game to be better with a group. Caveat: the first raid opens up in a few days - probably won't be something people do solo!
Will you be able to complete a 1-3 strike mission solo? Depends - on things like class, level and gear etc.
Strikes usually (always?) start out "public" before becoming "private" as you get to the final whatever. So opportunities for grouping for the end.
Are raids Bungie's version of dungeons? I would say so yes - or scenarios whatever.
Strikes are Destiny´s version of mmorpg dungeons. The difference is that you get a pug of three people (or invite friends) and on your way to the bosses you see other fire teams hanging around, but i think the boss area is limited to a single fireteam so everyone else phases out of your instance. I dont think you can enter a Strike solo since it starts an LFG like mmos do.
Outside of Strikes, the game is fairly soloable as long as you stay within certain level from your enemies.
Ah, fellow PC gamer here as well - good news is that while the Strikes will automatically find two other players for you, they can't yell at you in chat or anything. Everybody just keeps fighting. You can feel free to experiment with everything in the game except raids without having to deal with people yell at you, call you names or belittle you skills. You are free to learn and get better without the abuse. Strikes are tough, but you'll get there
yeah, as a Warlock i do struggle in many missions but as a Titan i just wipe the whole map by myself. Hunters are a bit more 50-50
Can someone who is well into the game give us some info regarding the single player aspect of Destiny? How good is the campaign in terms of story telling and presentation ?
Thank you in advance.
