Any newer games out there that you can't reach max level in 1 month? I want to play a game that takes me at least a full year to reach max level.

Nothing really like that, since currently devs try to progress you to end-game as quickly as possible...

You could try a game that has no level cap, but theres few of those...

Maybe try Achaea, at level 99 you can transform into a Dragon, which gives a new skillset and stat boosts, but theres no actual level cap so you can use your shiny new Dragon morph to grind all you want..currently I think the highest level player is like level 130.

Try Moonlight Online, game by IGG.

    Level cap is 75.

It's a 3D browser game with open world pvp.

seriously? he asks for a newer game and you offer a MUD?

you are starting to get really annoying with putting achaea into almost every LFG thread

EVE is the probably one game that can qualify for this.

Maybe you can play Diablo III that way is you look at it as:

    - lvl 70 Tutorial levels
    - lvl 800 paragon soft cap
    - lvl infinity - level paragon until your head explode

    Atlantica Onine
Even with tons of exp events will take you hell a lot of time to get to max level on main alone, add 8+++ mercenaries to level with same amount of exp.

"Don't argue with dick-heads, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience"

Hm. I missed where OP said newer, though like I said, theres nothing "newer" that fits his request. And I'm preeetty sure I've recommended lots of other titles, not just Achaea. But since Achaea is my favorite game of all time, of course I'm going to recommend it where applicable.

Go with Atlantica. Not only is it hard to level in after 95, you also have to level mercenaries. You get to control 9 total mercenaries on your team and level them all and if you want to change your team up, you'll have to level your new mercenaries too.

Its different and fun. Its almost like pokemon where you can catch em all and then level them each slowly! Its one of the most underrated games. Check it out if you are tired of the new boring same ol' same ol'

that doesnt exist anymore. Plus, if it does exist, that isnt hardcore either... its annoyingly boring grind to level. Unless you actually mean there is enough hard content to do to level slowly but varied enough to level without grinding quests/mobs..... yeah, doesnt exist.

Vanilla WoW is fairly hardcore in the leveling department.

True. Vanilla WoW is fairly hardcore... compared to most western MMO's. And especially compared to modern WoW image

But if you want "grind till you die of exhaustion" type of hardcore, yes Korean MMO's it is.

Depends on what do we consider hardcore leveling.

I remember playing Zu Online back in the days, lvl 152 to 153 took 27~30h pure grind.

The level cap was 240 at the time, there was 0 quest above 60, and each level became "harder" to reach.

    Well anyway.
