its my understanding the reasoning behind it was that they didnt want to have to get rid of servers later.
i understand them but m8 wtf ......3k queue and i bet now its much bigger ......dunno if a launch game can be like this ....like i said when server are low .....they can to a free transfer/merge/copy ......look at WoW have a lot of server low ....and a lot of free transfers
At times wow give free transfer but most of the time they ask $30 for a transfer, but this maybe just the rush adding more can be problem how some mmo die down pretty fast after a month. But they should added more server but the big problem people still going rush in the high pop server so end up maybe cutting down maybe by half.
m8 i got Server Connection Lost first and i checked all servers and all have 2k+ in queue .....i dont give nothing to enter in game lol i played in beta and headstart but the thing i whana say its all players who enter now on a server and play with a toon to 15+lvl .....i bet he will not leave the server for a new one

Well that's the thing. How can you actually merge a server that has limited land space and non-instanced housing? You can't. So it's not a simple matter of adding more servers. What you'll up with is a bunch of ghost town servers. This hype-rush will die down. Give it time. I know the queues suck, but to me It's worth it. Having a blast with a cool guild and managed to find space for a farm Took a while though
People seriously continuously whining and crying about wait times on LAUNCH DAY??? Go out into the real world and have a real life for like two days, wait times will calm down and life goes on. I avoid all MMOs on launch day, seems a lot of players new to MMOs should get some sense and do the same.

And I'd suggest you stop reading and replying to topics for games on launch day since it irritates you so much.
I gave up on this a few Beta sessions ago when their crappy anti-cheat system, HackShield, got permanently stuck at updating, meaning the game couldn't even launch properly.
From forum feedback on various sites I can at least console myself that I'm not missing much anyway.
I hate it when people say "go and get fresh air" or "there is life outside of gaming" on an MMORPG forum. WE are hardcore gamers...some casual, some leets, some pvp, some pve, but we wouldn't be on here if we didnt love gaming. Id rather game than get fresh air or have a social life...thanks though for your babble...

i know right !!!!???
heh.. but it is actually quite a good advice. i urge you to consider it 8)
Just give the game a couple of weeks and check back. That is what I am going to do (don't know what all the fuss is about). But of course I'm also a free player so......for what it is worth.

It's just a day into a game's official launch and I can tell you, I'm far more likely to be raving mad if I were to lose my land due to a server merge in a year or so than I will be at the distant memory of these que times at launch.
and what does paying have to do with login queue? Even WoW had queues and everyone pays for it. If founder pack owners get priority log in, and servers are full of priority owners, theres nothing you can do but wait in line. First come first serve.
Its funny how people think paying will automatically turn them into godly beings that bypass any obstacle.
It's funny how companies (and some people) think that providing bad service and unfinished products will get them anything but annoyed and disgruntled customers.

People seriously continuously bitching about players who want a decent land plot without paying to resellers in first 2 months? Go out into your imaginary place you perceive as real world and do some conventional stuff you think is real life, for like long time, while other people decide what to do with their time by themselves.

Yes but that's just it though, the way Archeage is with actual land ownership, it's a commodity and land is not something that is going to be available to everyone day 1. There is an actual real-estate market and depending on the demand right now (huge) and free space (none) you will have to pay a pretty penny to purchase it.
Most of the people in queue on launch day aren't going to be avid fans of the game. Many will not ever try to open the game again. Some might play to level 10 an quit. Low Pop servers in this game would be bad bad news.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

Oh the brutality of a lie like this. Seriously I think the forum monitors should warn you for that kind of spam. Try, 3,200 - 3,500 + queue per server. That translates to "you aren't going to play if you log on at 6 pm on a workday.

You make a good point, but so does he. You would think people would understand what to expect on any new mmo's launch. I suppose there are always a few people new to mmos. But, I assume the majority have played one before.

I might not agree with his approach and wording (even though there is some truth to it). But, did you just say the real world (outside) is imaginary? Did you take your meds today?

No one can perceive real world without inner bias kicking in. One guy goes to work, then chills out in bar, meets nice people and considers this real world. Another guy manipulate people in big politics and see people as useful pawns and not so useful cattle, he can see stuff working guy cant. Third guy is an artist and see world as crazy mix of colours with people as weird moving objects, he can see thing is the world others wouldn't notice. They all see different stuff, so who of them see actual real world? NONE. Neither gamers, nor bums, nor any other guy. So when some jerk starts brandishing his Real World argument, all I can ask is if he knows 0,01% of that world or whooping 0,015%.

Or perhaps they mean -24 hours. Since we all know time travel is not possible at this point, one could argue that the ticket will never be answered.

So What Now?
That isn't even a huge queue, back in the days those who preordered aion, were sitting in queue for 12+ hours.

Post like these make me chuckle. Is what we knew was coming, but the diehards called us names and we got labeled as trolls...
We ended up right and are STILL watching this train wreck march on.
I for one would like to see it work...but could see the red flags...
