WoW,that would be something all of us with developers.....Lets add marketers and all hell would break loose
Like police in riot gear style. You'd almost feel sorry for those marketers...
But that's ok, the die hard fans will be the first line of riot defense.
I actually think it would be more civil with the developers in the room. There would be more rational discussion than throwing opinions and arguements.

Luckily, i don't need you to like me to enjoy video games. -nariusseldon. In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit
Wouldn't make a difference - you'd have a room full of folks on their smartphones/tablets/laptops.
Maybe if the room was an underground bunker with 100% signal block and no WiFi people might actually engage in conversation.
Even after all this, Id say that most conversations would be about lack of internet access.
A huge party with free beer and a whole load of none MMOers probably would work better. I have noticed that at any larger thing the few MMOers tend to speak games with eachother and suddenly aren't the WoWers and the the sandbox fans that far from eachothers when the rest of the party talks soccer or politics.

Does anyone here go to real life events for games they play or net communities they are part of (ex: forum, guild, sig)?
From the responses, I get a feeling that most don't, which is interesting for a crowd that shows an ardent passion for the social interaction side of multiplayer online gaming.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
