1. It's like a job--I have a job
2. Latency--bad spikes and the tracert shows it's them not me
3. Taxes are too damn high when you own 4 gardens and 2 houses
4. I got banned for 3 days , by mistake, and even though Scapes admitted in a tweet that it was their fault, I received no compensation and not even an apology.
5. Griefing doesn't make you flag purple--that is BS. You can harpoon friendly boats all day and not flag. You can knock people off carriages and not flag purple.
6. I never got to use the $49 silver package I bought because of the crazy Q times which forced me to reroll on a new server
7. The Hasla grind is obscene--really silly--stupid--you gear for a pvp game by grinding mobs? Really?
8. Getting zerged or zerging in Halyconia is not fun and provides no real rewards.
9. Gliders usable in combat is ridiculous. Goofy. Again stupid.
10. I am not having fun and I don't have any goals. I have 2 houses, 4 gardens and and a boat and got those in my first week of play. My guild will fail at placing a castle--I guarantee that for sure with absolute certainty.
11. Mount leveling is silly, stupid and annoying.
12. THIS GAME IS NOT IN ANYWAY A SANDBOX. Being able to build a house does not make it a sandbox. I see trees I can't cut down. I see stone I can't mine. I see npcs I can't kill. I see areas in which I am perfectly, completely safe.
13. THIS GAME IS NOT IN ANYWAY A THEME PARK. There are no dungeon Qs or battle grounds. IT IS a hybrid with none of the good features of either genre but the bad features of both see #5 #7 and #8
14. The crime system is goofy. No real punishments. And why should there be anyway. The entire system doesn't make sense at all. At all.
15. Once again, Trion takes a good idea and destroys it. And by that I mean bhow much fun the first month of RIFT was and how the f----d that up and how people dropped subs like flies when they changed the rift system for a month long quest driven event that was bugged and silly.

Same hope same crushed realization. Game was all hype and no delivery for me. So much wasted years of hopeful beyond hype waiting. Should've known 10 years running not a single good mmorpg for my tastes has been released except for EVE.
But honestly i dont think we need another thread on Archeage and beating this dead horse with a 500 lb club. Everyday its like 3 new hate threads 3 new awesome threads.

And if this post can save jsut one person the $15 patron fee my day is complete, becasuen BEFORE I start ANY GAME I come to mmorpg forums first. And thank GOD because I was about to buy WildStar
Just FYI, ArcheAge is made by XLGames, not Trion. Game has been out 2 years in Korea. Game is pretty much identical to the Korean version. Game isn't going to stray far from the Korean version. XLGames makes sure of that.
I'm not Korean but the NPCs in the game think I am...

Thats exactly my point, you couldn't just add your opinion to one of the existing 60 threads of the same topic of either I love Archeage/I hate Archage? No need for another 20 threads this week on the same topic when there already is a perfectly healthy thread to add a post to. Look i agree with your sentiment I personally think Archeage is a load of crap but thats not waht im talking about. Im talking about forum behavior

You can't blame 7-11 for not stocking peanut-less Snickers bars. They don't make them..they just sell them for "a piece of the action". So-to-speak.
Of course he can blame Trion, they are the ones that brought this abomination over here...

Don't do that. Do your own research about what games are supposed to be like, grab a free trial, which is the standard these days, and give it a test run before purchase.
What you will find on ANY GAME that gets forum attention on MMORPG is this: Overhype pre-launch, Game is Crap post-launch. Rift, SWTOR, Aion, Darkfall, Tera, GW2, ESO, Wildstar, ArcheAge. And it is going to happen for EQ:Next and Star Citizen all the same. Don't come here for an honest look about what a game will be like. Try it yourself.
P.S. - All of the aforementioned games are still running too.

Again..XLGames brought the "abomination" over here. Trion was just the one they accepted to distribute the game.
You may think it's a "you say potatoes" type of argument but it's more like an "apples and oranges" scenario.
Regardless..you, the OP and many others don't like the game. We get it.
Hope everyone so direly affected can get over the trauma and enjoy a game that they do like.
Unless they've yet to find one.
LOL -- game is F2P...someone can just try it out for a few days first and then decide to pay the $15, if they like it based off their OWN experiences.
This is the reason why I am quitting...The game requires to much. I have gotten all the way to 50 and have gotten my Leatherworking and Husbandry to 30k..Trying to get endgame crafting gear requires to much mats...this game is for hardcore pvpers...i don't want Trion or xl games to change anything..its just if your gonna play this casual...its gonna take you a LONG time to be competitive..this game is ideal for someone who doesn't work much and can stay home all day and stare at the screen...this will prolly be my last MMO..then again i want to give Albion online a try and if blade and soul comes to america...ill play that...this game is a job..if you have a guild that can just give u everything then you've got it made.
Why would XL let Trion do what they want in the first place? If they made it significantly different it would be twice the work for them, and be a competing service with their other publishing partners.
Points I agree with.
This game is niche, it's for the invested player, not the casual drop in for 30 mins a night to run a dungeon guy, I agree. It is 'hardcore' in a way that most modern players won't like. saying that, if you wish to invest and pay in, AA, IMO, will pay you back 100 times over.
Good guilds are essential. This is an interdependent social game that relies on you having a solid support network of good people.
When this thread has run its course I am going to make another one bitching about it as well. And those people that say go look at the other threads about the game sucking and dont make new ones......Can message me.....
