Its funny to see after x amount of years that the most powerfull game company struggling to uphold servers while the new expansion being released.

 

the new zones are unplayble.. its like a 20 sec delay.. 

 

Is the current technology @ his max now? or is it laisyness of blizzard?

    Probably a little of both, Blizzard know there will only be issues for a few days and people will quickly forget about the issues as they have with each expac, they could spend more on tech but why shoulder that expense to resolve a few days of unhappy players.

    Granted due to work I didn't log in until 5 pm eastern...I was able to play ok. With that being said there were stretches of extreme lag, I was dc'd at least three times, and two out of the three times I attempted to visit my garrison, it did not work. But I was able to run an instance, and already up to just about lvl 92. Guess no matter how "successful" an mmo is, launch days are sketchy. The real question is why do people still do crazy things like schedule vacations from work around these launches when 99% no matter your game of choice the first few days are less then great.

    Hmm really must be just you I haven't had lag at all and was in a large group of peeps also so maybe you need to check your connection

    Blizzard reported they are getting DDOS attacks. (but I see someone just beat me to it)

    Give it a few weeks and it will all be sorted out. Likely they'll compensate everyone for the inconvenience as well.

    Jbriskey...them schedualing off is a sign of what is wrong with mmo's. All about competition with other players for that race to achievemenrs, top level, server firsts, etc. Instead of playing for personal achievement it is all for bling to show others.
