Hi there! Glad there's some new folks checking it out. I play in NA so I can't help you there. But I hope you are asking in game or on their official forums as well. MMORPG.com is typically not a friendly place for Wildstar fans.

Are you kidding?
The Wildstar forums are not friendly toward Wildstar Players.
The only reason you seen it die down recently is because the Forum Mods run the forum like North Korea, when a fanboy crys about other player criticising the game even just a little.
That and Carbine's policy of not allowing feedback from unsubscribed players, which is brilliant if you want to continue making mistakes that run your game into the ground.
By all means play the game OP, nobody else wants to chunk their money in that burning pit. So don't be surprised when people don't respond to your post or don't want to join you.

I wouldn't say ESO bounced back. In fact I don't think there is much evidence more people are playing ESO, the difference is that ESO is a very valuable IP and the investors are willing to sink in more money to hopefully have something decent to release on console.
If the situations were reversed and ESO was some no-name IP owned by NCsoft we would prolly be speculating about it's demise right now.

They will have to go free to play in 2015. If Carbine refuses the change then NcSoft will force a permanent shutdown.

This.
Drop 3 and "mega"servers (which in fact was nothing but merging all empty servers into one) did nothing to get the game back on track.
And since Carbine doesn't seem to be smart enough to grasp the concept of free trials (looong overdue), the game is not going to survive 2015 in it's current state.
All this is such a damn shame that it makes me want to scream at them. Add another title to the list of "could have been's", run down because it's inable amateurish studio was too busy padding themselves on the back for 9 years for how "hardcore" they are instead of i.e. getting baseline mmorpg features ready for launch.
OP if you care about you money and live in a country where you can return items, I would STRONGLY recommend returning Wildstar.
There are about a million other games (some very very new ones) which are far more deserving of your cash. Only if you've played every other decent game out there, or just want to experience every "AAA" MMO other there should you consider picking up Wildstar at this point.

Given Ncsoft's history i am also leaning towards shutting down the game if the profits didn't go up.
Glad I read this thread. I was considering getting the game during the current 50% discount offer but it sounds like the game is not in good shape at the moment so even at half price I think I won't bother.

Its a dead soon to be free or shutdown mmo. Get used to feeling lonely in game. Nobody plays this anymore
