End game boss fight

Personally I liked a lot of the boss fights in FFXI:ARR a lot. Not only various dungeon bosses throughout the game but the extreme mode fights and coil of bahamut fights. Being a bard there were some fights that were kind of boring for me, but there were also several that required me to really be on top of my game because 1 slip up would cause a wipe for the group.

Yes I do remember FFXI having pretty good boss fights. Specially I loved the combo system! It's a damn shame no other game has not implemented something similar as it was both fun, complex and rewarding if you did it right. However, tab target combat cannot compare to action combat.

Nice healing! Never really liked healing until I played Tera. Although I don't mind tab tard combat , I totally agree nothing beats action combat and I liked Tera's take on it took timing and strat, Thanks for the video!

You welcome. I usually don't like straight out healers in MMORPGs but in TERA it is a lot more action focused, with positioning, and putting down AoE heals etc that makes it a lot more exciting than watching health bars.

I really can't see myself going back to a non-action combat RPG after this. It is just a whole new level to it.

All fights in Tera look simple.  You really don't get a grasp of what the player behind the avatar has to think about from the video.  Almost every mechanic can happen at any time and you have to react to them immediately.  Couple that with the animation lock and you really have to know what you're doing in order to be effective.

This has been an actual problem for me.  I'm back to playing TERA for the expansion, and it's great.  Only problem is if they take another 2 years to add content, I'm going to be stuck playing games with lesser combat in the interim.

Best combat, best f2p model on the market by far.

Black Desert looks like it could rival it in combat, but it's supposedly going to have a horrid cash shop.

Here's to hoping they update the game more often.  In the meantime, I'm having fun again.

For anybody that just started playing make sure you get the Winter Snow Ball Fight quest in Velkia. Its a Battleground that puts 2 groups against each other in a Snow Ball Fight and its really fun.
